We all know how miserable our o line is. Everybody knows how weak our dline is. We've been talkin and complaining all day every day. Now, what do we need to do to fix it this year?? Is this somethin we can even fix this year??? Discuss.....
A cut and paste from a post I made on another thread... I saw baltimore rush 3 line men, and 2 came through untouched! I saw your center at least twice snap the ball, then spin around and fall down as the defender blew by him. I saw your Oline double team 1 player and still get driven into the backfield. I saw, on running plays, when the ball was snapped 5 linemen stand straight up as though they were pass blocking and get tossed around like rag dolls because they allowed the defense to get their shoulders low on them. That was terrible. I'm not ripping ya, but you guys need to fire whoever is coaching that line.
O-line: just hope they gel as the year goes on...destroy Clement after the season...need 2 OG's (I don't like Moore but he signed an extension, so 1 OG, I guess) and a RT before next season starts. D-line: PASS RUSH, PASS RUSH, PASS RUSH. Replace Victor Hobson with a DE/OLB pass rusher a la DeMarcus Ware or Joey Porter or even LaMarr Woodley, and this defense will be top 5 overnight.
I don't know what the athletic skills of the line is, but their technique is just about the worst I ever saw. Much of their problems can be solved with proper coaching. Maybe you have more talented guys on the bench, I don't know, but with such terrible technique it won't make any difference.
its funny how the defensive line came alive almost instantly when we started running the 4-3. u actually saw vilma attempt to make plays and they werent ten yards down the field. untill we improve our line i say stick with the 4-3. shit the eagles have been running it forever and it works for them. why mess with a good thing in the first place?
