Hahaha, Max Kellerman on 1050 am (ESPN) had Jets fans call in this morning with the topic being how the league should mete out Belifraud's penalty. "Make him wear nice clothes." "Make him smile." "Cut off his hood."
THe only just punishment is as follows. Forfeit. They Cheated, plain and simple, and got caught. The difference in that game was the Jets defense being held at bay by the Patriots, which was the, the object of their cheat. No getting around it. Coaching staff 4 game suspension. The Organization should also forfeit the Home field for the next game. The Patriots would have to refund one Home game worth of $$$$, and the Jets would be able to sell another home game. That also gives the Patriots a chance to get back the forfeit (sort of...) by winning honestly on the road, in which case the forfeit evens out in the W/L column.
 Nice.... Along a Star Wars note we now have Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. Young Skywalker has lost his hand in his most recent duel, but escapes to fight another day.
I think they should also have to change their name to the Red Coats and on the field of Gillette Stadium it should read "LONG LIVE THE QUEEN"
There is no way I ever see this happening. Tickets were sold to the game, theres TV stuff in place, the Giants are involved bc they have a home game. As great as this would be, I just never see that happening because too many people would be screwed in the process. What if your a jets fan coming from somewhere, booked air, hotel, etc for that game? Theres too many factors involved
The game is late enough in the season for those adjustments to be made. I dont think it will happen, I am saying that it would the most Just end.
 Seriously though, forfeiting that Week 1 game and losing picks is not enough! How about along with those, forfeiting the entire division? They can still play, but without a HC and the games being meaningless, they will lose ticket sales and I bet most of the season ticket holders will ask for refunds
I know, what if they forced the Pats to convert Gillette Stadium into a federal prison for 20 years? LOL, I noticed someone of another board dubbed them the 'Pasterisks'. Good stuff.
OMG, 227 are you serious? I like part 1 of your suggested penalty, it has real weight behind it and if Goodell has balls he can make a mark for himself elevate him alongside Rozell in a blink. Part 2, nah your kidding us, a "Heartfelt" apology and full "disclosure" from that sleazebag Belichick, I seriously think BB would commit harre Karre (don't know if that's how you spell it) before apologising to the Jets. Like your thinking though.
What? a) I can't stand the Patriots. b) I'm not whoever JetsSomething is. c) i'm just embarrassed by some of the posters, with ridiculous embarrassing punishments, sounding all desperate. The Jets were pathetic Sunday, focus on that.
The JETS aren't getting these draft picks and Belichick won't get suspended. Other then that, yeah you really hit it. Fine them and move on. If you want to take a pick away from them, have a party. Other then that, focus on how pathetic the DL and OL line instead of looking for the Jets to be handed something.
Or maybe you could just wake up already and realize that if the Pats weren't stealing our playcalls, we could have actually put pressure on Brady, and maybe they don't score often enough to win? And that's not even mentioning that it's quite possible they were stealing the offensive playcalls as well, resulting in a lot better coverage, and easier blitzes, plus being able to focus on the back during running plays. But why look at it logically when you can just argue with the entire rest of the site?
The more I think of it, the more it makes sense to me; Immediate fines won't do much, but immediate cap hit would hurt the team immediately that no ticket pricing can help. Couple that with loss of entire draft picks for a year or two, and now this is a formula that will hurt the team, roster-wise. Add the "Ban-the-Coaching-Staff-for-a-season" ingredient on it, and voila, Pats are doomed, aren't they? *And I don't think banning Belicheat for a season is too harsh either. Pacman Jones got busted for a full season for his multiple OFF-the-field run-ins with the law. Belicheat? This is not his first cheating-got-busted incident, and this is ON-the-field issue as well. Should be harsher.* Forfeiture would be the icing on the cake, but I don't expect that.
