OUCH! Should Kellen play, what a baptism of fire this will be.
By the way Chad hobbled about I would think it unlikly that he will play. Even after the way he got treated I'm sure Chad will try and do everything to get onto the field though

I wonder how people on this board will react if he has a bad game......

He "might" have the stronger arm but... is he more accurate? can he lead a offense?
I can imagine him over shotting the receivers, like right over their heads.

I'm not saying I don't like Clemens but Chad Pennington gives us the best chance to win.
I can't imagine the Jets to beat the Ravens with Clemens... or win many games this season...

I think Chad's gonna take the week off, he's been reinjured so many times be trying to rush back.....hopefully Clemens can get the job done

I don't think this mean's Chad loses the job is Clemens does well though

This is always the case with a veteran vs an unproven rookie. It's why it's so hard to make a change at that position. History tells us though that it is the changes at that position that have the most longterm impact on a team's chances to win a Super Bowl.

Adding a 30ish veteran of Chad's quality to an existing very good roster often puts them over the top. See Rich Gannon as the example of the best things that can happen. But the 30ish guys don't ever win at the top levels with the team that drafted them unless they won at those levels earlier also. You can't change all of the talent on a team fast enough to keep up with a mid-career QB who is headed for the downside and also injury prone.

I think Chad could go somewhere else, like Chicago, where they've done all of the work necessary to get to the top levels, including being there in the recent past, but have come up short at QB, and win it all. I think Chad could go to Kansas City where they have been declining for 3 years and go 3-13. He's really not the issue, every thing else is. And that's why I'd rather go 6-10 with Kellen Clemens this year than 9-7 with Chad. At least with Clemens I can see the necessary talent potentially coalescing around him before he's a 34 year old nearing retirement.

I may be in the minority here but I have a feeling that #10 will be out there leading us next Sunday, ankle injury or no.

I still think Clemens was a bad pick, but if he starts I will get behind him.

I hope Chad is okay, he showed me alot on Sunday leading us to a TD on one leg. I've been one to criticize Chad in the past, but Sunday's embarassment falls on the D's shoulders not Chad's at all. Get well CP.

I'll be pulling for the kid if he gets a shot to play. I only wish it was a home game so he could feel all of us getting behind him on the first possession. I'll keep my expectations a little low after watching Palmer and the bengals struggle a bit last night.
