Try finding an (I'll avoid the word expert) anaylist to back the Jets this afternoon and you won't. Try finding an analyst to back us to win the division and you guessed it , you won't. No new news there then. Who backed us last year? Not many. To be fair some anaylists did back us to make the wild card this year. So, are we that much under the radar that only diehard Jets fans can see a division win or a playoff berth? See who which analysts back who http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/preview07/news/story?id=2984130
I came to the point where I don't care if no analyst gives us the respect we deserve. I rather just prove them all wrong.
My favorite was Phil Simms this morning talking about how fun it was to watch the Jets. Shotty would have the Jets do so many different things and looks and scheme to throw a 4 yard button hook. Simms was being complimentary but I found it kind of sad. When are we going to line up and kick ass, run the ball throw the ball and stop trying to trick teams to gain 5 yards? When we can do that people will start picking this team to go a long way.
The offense we're running right now is designed to eat clock and kick field goals. I don't know that I've ever seen an NFL team win a Super Bowl with that offensive strategy. When was the last time the Jets made a rousing comeback to win after an uninspired first half?
I'm with you on this. For what it's worth though, I was shocked to see Cannizarro picked us this morning in the NY Post. He says Nugent wins it.
