Why would Seattle negotiate w/ Abe if he doesn't want to play w/them. It doesn't make

    Sense!

And don't tell me I'm being to negative here. I'm just looking at this situation objectively.

They are going to go after Peterson. I could see if he was already on the team, but he not. Yet he's already bringing a negative energy to the team.

NO TEAM wants to pay a guy that much money who has already publicly said he doesn't want to be there. You guys are not looking at the full picture.

Wow. I didnt even know he didnt want to play there. Ive said it before, hed probably be happy with a long term contract if we gave it to him. lets resign him if he doesnt want to play anywhere where we can get something for him.:eaglessuck:

You'd be surprised how much upping the ante could affect a player's decision on where he wants to play.
I'm sure if the Jets were(could) offer him the Atlanta deal, he'd suddenly have this big 'ol change of heart about NY and the Jets.
    It's about money, not geography.

blah... i think we ALL know this and not just the person keeping this real. It's a Jets fan's best interest to get the best value for the type of caliber player abe is. I can careless where abe wants and doesn't want to go, if we get the best value then i'm satesfied

And Seattle's 1st rounder is the best deal currently on the table. If they increase their offer, he goes. Everybody wins. Except the guys who bought TWO jerseys (a #94 and a #56).

haha you poor man! I agree with you on Abe. This being a fair trade.... we get a 2nd rnd this yr and maybe Duckett and next years 1st. Sounds a little sunshined but i think that is fair. (Imagine if ATL flopped)

Dude, why do you keep starting posts? I did it this morning, and quickly apologized for it. You have started two posts today, on the same topic. At least post back to the same one you already started!

I have more than a thousand posts, and I have started a total of 3 threads, including today's. You have less than 100, and you have started two today.

I agree, it doesnt matter what J Abe wants, if he isnt going to be here then its about getting the most value. If Seattle is offering 1st round then we need to get the deal done. J Abe is worth a 1st rounder, if Atlanta isnt gonna give that then they lose on him, and the Jets shouldnt settle for that. Jets should have all the leverage, b/c J Abe knows that if he gets hurt he loses $$$. he needs to get all the money he can now, and if Seattle wont offer as much money to J Abe but offer a 1st rounder as a trade, then Jets need to make sure it gets done

please tell me why we need duckett. what hole will he fill up on our team. a lot of people are saying this but i dont know why we need him. we have martin who is the toughest mother f*cker in the NFL, cedric houston who kicked some ass last season, and derick blaylock who was a legit back up to priest for a long time.

and jetfan1215, u stole my picture, but its ok, i'll change it

If they pay enough he will deffinetly be fine with playing there. He probably not answering Seattle's phone because he wants to play with Alanta more, but if the money shows up he be in Seattle pretty fast.
