    Stinky...what's happening?

Well...yes, it won't be cheap. But...shelve all this Atlanta, Seahawk talk...package Abraham with our 1...toss in a 2 and this could be had...I think....Texas only drops 3 slots, picks up a high second and gets a premier pass rusher, for a mediocre defense, and all is well with the world...maybe even sweeten the pot with a next year mid-round pick. Call me stupid, but I really really think Bush is the next coming of Barry Sanders...Sadly enough, it's a chance...but to be really great, you need to take a chance once in a while....

    Peace!

    The Mezz

 welcome back! i figured you'd eventually return now that dumbway and herminator are gone.

sorry to disagree, but i'd take cutler now, and chop off noodle arm after june 1st. there are plenty of guys in rounds 2-6 to address the o-line, rb, cb, and wr.

    mezzavo-

What do you think about this senario:

Trade John Abraham & our 3rd round pick (#68) to the Atlanta Falcons for their first round pick (#15)

ON DRAFT DAY: Trade our #4 to the Detroit Lions for their #9, 2nd rounder (#41), and an '07 pick

    DRAFT:
#9- Vernon Davis (TE) or Jay Cutler (QB) - who ever is available
    #15- Winston Justice (RT)
    #36- Best Available O-Lineman
#41- Best Available Player (LB, DB, DT, DE, OT, OG, C, WR, RB, etc)

    opinion?

Well...I like the guys you have picked...but problem is...I don't like giving Abe up AND a 3rd. You see Abe is worth, and proven mind you, more than a #15. He is a top 5, in the NFL, dominant pass rusher in his prime...hell...just really entering his prime. Now, if you had Abe going as a straight up trade with Atlanta adding THEIR 3rd or 4th round pick I'd be tempted....you see...the greatest mistake many of these talking heads, and fans, is you can not substitute potential for proven...especially in the NFL. Potential can get you a one way ticket on the Ryan Leaf to college coaching bus...Proven can get you Reebok ad's on Sunday afternoons...(maybe an under armor wear commercial)...but, I do like the guys you have targeted for the draft...

    Peace!

H'mmm he says he was in the NFL but who knows. He sure was on the wong track like you with Herm so that makes me doubtful he has any ability to evulate talent just like you. I may remind you to go check out VT remarks when we signed Rick Mirer. Maybe then you would not think Mezz knows one end of the string from the other

Can we get a petition going against Champ or something. I know there was a poster keeping track of Champs remarks, it'll be funny watching him try to back track on which ever coach he has trashed when they win a superbowl. Champ you always babbly about how this coach and that are 0 for however many years in bringing a championship to NY. Bill Cower is only 1:14 in bringing one to pittsburgh, would you not want him? Parcells is only 2:20+ would you not want him? Shula, Walsh, Knoll, and Johnson have won the most superbowls yet their records are not much better. Anyway...nice to have you back mezz, I havn't posted much either since all of the incoherent posters have joined. Glad your personal life is back in order.

No need to petition him... he's a great entertainer around here. No one knows how to electrify a topic like he does.

Contrary to popular belief...I like champ around...you can't have the voice of green without a voice of reason to keep it all in check. No worries here...

    Peace!
