Everything you say is absolutely true. I don't really believe it, but this series really could be enough to get Willie fired.
I'd have to agree, if they don't make the playoffs, after having a 7 game lead in late August, he's got to go. YOu still have to give him till the end of the season, though.
This was the worst most depressing, fucking choke job of a game that I've ever been too. From Wagner crapping the bed, to Lo Duca and Wagner letting them run wild on the bases, to Willie's idiotic managing this was by far the worst sporting event I've ever been through. And this isn't even mentioning that we are about to go to a place that has been our fucking burial site for years now.
calm down Met fans... am I worried? You bet I am. But you gotta believe!!! Like I posted last night, the majority of remaining games for the Mets are against sub .500 teams. Get Pedro back, Oliver is consistant, El Duque will get his shit together, the bullpen will (hopefully) pull their collective heads out of their collective asses. I'm not gonna lie, this past series is devastating, especially considering how 3 of the losses came on the last batter of the game. I've been in Vail, Colorado since Saturday night and the Mets have yet to win a game since I've been here. But fear not Mets fans, I return to Manhattan on Saturday and our luck will turn...
Maybe Minaya should be fired for the Mets still having Heilman, Mota, and Schoeneweis on the roster. That's why Wagner had to pitch two innings today.
You are wrong. Your location means nothing. The Mets luck will turn when the great Mike Pelfrey returns.
If you look back in the thread you'll see that I already blasted Minaya for his awful handling of the pitching this year. That has nothing to do with the absolutely pathetic managing job by Willie this series.
great, because those seem to be the only teams the Mets can beat. unfortunately, if the Mets make the playoffs, the teams they can beat won't be joining them, so it will be a quick and disappointing series. making the playoffs just seems arbitrary considering the Mets inability to win against good teams.
