    i don't understand all these "burrell's career was over" comments. the guy has been .390+ obp and .500+ slg the past 3 years and even his first half OPS was better then delgado has been this year. the guy is a pretty great player against everyone(not just the mets)

    Yes, but you Plunk Burrell and make howard who has never gone deep against Wagner get him around.

    I don't care what the numbers say about match-ups, one that exceeds all is Wagner and 2-inning* saves.

    utley slaughters lefties and of course we know about burrell and wagner. if heilman gets the first two he can play around with howard.

    nah. if it were me, I'd plunk Burrell too. I don't care if Howard is on deck.

    No offense, but I guess that's why you're not an MLB manager, cause if you intentionally put Burrell on there & Howard homers you'd get fired the same day.

    why cant we get any of OUR BALLS to carry out of here, but every medium fly the phillies hit ends up 10 rows back

    Manuel should be fired for putting reyes on, in that case.

    I don't think I'd be fired for making that call. Burrell is the greatest hitter in baseball when he plays the Mets. he has four homers already in this series. and he does this every time he faces us

    Endy Chavez is not Ryan Howard. Ryan Howard is the MVP from last year and already won a game against us this series... We could go on all day, but let's not.

    jose reyes is not pat burrell.

    reyes can't hit period now, and pat burrell is the greatest hitter in baseball.
