Coleman and Poteat are battling it out for the last spot on the Depth chart. I say Coleman will be the winner at the end of camp and we say goodbye to ol' Hank.

if it were up to me, I'd keep them both especially, when Dyson has been injury prone in the past, and Barrett is probably good for a two-week injury -- or, if anything, not playing at 100%.

if i had to pick one, i'd pick to cut Poteat. at this point, Poteat has peaked, and while he provides good depth, so does Coleman. because Coleman is still young, Mangini can teach and mold him as he's been doing since drafting Coleman. we don't know the full extent of Coleman's potential, yet he's looked like he's progressed since last year.

obviously, Poteat's leadership qualities are valuable, but we already have that in Barrett and Dyson. furthermore, while Miller may not be a veteran at the CB position itself, he's been in the League long enough to know how everything works and what's expected. so, even Poteat's experience isn't enough of a reason to keep him. and if you want to look further ahead, keeping Coleman, continuing to teach him, allows us to spend a draft pick on another position; whereas Poteat may be gone in a year or two and we may need to use a pick to get another CB.

like i said, i'd like to keep them both because two injuries will put the secondary in shambles (especially if our pass rush doesn't improve); picking one, my vote is to keep Coleman.

Coleman was the one that had the good game against Atlanta right?

    Yes he was.

Poteat for sure. He's ok at best. Coleman has age, and being a recent draft pick, on his side.

    Revis
    Miller
    Dyson
    Barrett

How many does the team usually keep?

Poteat has been playing the nickel a lot, and Coleman had been getting a lot of p.t.- then he got hurt, now he's back.

If they keep 6, i'd keep them both. otherwise, tough call.

Kizer and Hodge will go leaving us with Revis, Dyson , Barrett, Coleman and Poteat . Miller I think will be used solely in Nickel/Dime situations and of course KOR.
