That guy who hit him's an asshole. You don't do that shit when he's not even in the play. That type of disrespect and unsportsmanlike crap would have started a brawl in aussie footy, you don't let that shit happen to someone on your team, specially if their not in the play.

yeah nailing the kicker is pretty unheard of. but smacking people away from the play isnt.

either way thats cheap. but im still not that surprised. alot of people look for someone to hit in pursuit just for the hell of it.

its how warren sapp ended that guys career.

I like the Eagle who hit him back. He is trying to make the team and doesn't want to look bad, but he did the right thing standing up for a teammate/punter. Good man.

Not to mention that he led with his helmet when he hit him in the head.

Chad Clifton made it through that injury. The bottom line IMO is that ALL NFL players need to be prepared for being hit and therefore, to use the proper NFL nomenclature, keep their head on a swivel when on the field. The excuse for the "cheap" hit on the kicker is that hitting is a part of the game. There really is no excuse for any player on the field not being aware of their surroundings.

the most impressive thing was that Sav got straight back up, laughed it off and then nailed a 50yd punt later in the qtr...he would have gained a lot of respect from that

Your blokes nut punched ours, our blokes didn't like it

That's what I remember. It was a bit of a fiasco, interesting concept it was though. Enjoyed going to games when they were in Perth.

Not really worried about the hit on Sav, he's tough, he can take it.

Na mate, the Aussies were clearly at fault. It was a shame to our country for them to behave like filthy thugs like that

i know they wanted to stop our players from playing mixed rules again because of all the fighting and the way we acted on the pitch

also what do you think of this hit
it was from a few seasons back from the iafl
was it a good or bad hit ?
