True, but Houston will take Bush, Saints don't need a QB so they might even trade down and even though I'm sure that Chow would like him on the Titans, they may not draft him if he doesn't want to play there.

This might be, but the Saints and Texans could trade draft picks t other teams, so it is not sure who will pick the first player.

The Texans picked up Carr's contract this season, so he's not going anywhere.

Very true. But I don't want to see us trade up. If hes there you grab him. If not, lets go for Hawk.

If we get another first, plus a likely 3rd comp. from the Raiders, which isn't too far behind ours, I'd do it. I don't see what the point of bringing in Ramsey is if we want Leinart, but if it happens I'm thrilled. At #15, Greenway would be a good pick if we're going 3-4. If 4-3, maybe Tamba Hali. I wouldn't mind one of the RBs either.

I'm with you on the Ramsey thing. I don't think we're going to trade up for a QB for sure. Getting Ramsey probably means that we're looking at other positions in the draft.

    That remains to be seen.

Eli has yet to prove anything.

He did nothing down the stretch last year.

Too many posts I disagree with to quote....first, Leinart the ultimate winner, never mind he happened to be on the ultimate team, simple fact is this guy was surrounded by two 1st rd rb's, a host of great wrs, a great te and one of the best OLines I've ever seen in college, he had more time to throw than any qb i've ever seen. I like him as a prospect don't get me wrong but go back and watch the UCLA game and the 1st half of the Rose Bowl, than tell me you want to trade two extremely valuable picks to move up 2 lousy spots.

And whats up with the Eli references, as if that example somehow proves the jets should move up...if jets did this deal and Leinart ended up being Eli, I'd puke. What has that kid done, and I've read multiple reports that nfl people have serious concerns about him, which are quite obvious watching him play.

Throw out the value charts and all that crap....fact is N.O. WANTS to move, they have no need to pick at 2, at 4 they'll have their choice of 2 out of Brick, Hawk and Williams, and they'll pay less $. Unless they (a) get a better offer from someone else (I don't see that happening, no offer coming from Tenn, GB or SF), or (b) have their heart so set on one guy, say Brick, that they're afraid they could lose him to the Titans, there's no reason to be bullied. Offer them a 4th rounder, maybe the 3rd but I don't even like that, if they say no, fine, I'll take Hawk , Williams or Brick or trade down and be more than happy.

I see where you are coming from. The Saints r really messed up picking at 2, because there's nobody who has that kind of value besides leinart, who they don't need anymore.
I would love if we could trade our first rounder and our 4th for 2, but i realistically expect a third and the first rounder to move up, we will get a third in comp anyway.

No way do you trade a 2nd and 3rd rounder in a trade up. With all the holes we have, in one of the deepest drafts EVER, we cannot under any circumstance deal those picks.

Who cares if the Giants are a rising young team? That doesn't mean the trade they made for Eli Manning was a smart one. They traded their pick, a future first rounder which ended up being in the Top 10, and a third rounder for a QB who hasn't really shown he's any good. I mean, that's alot to give up even if the guy you want turns out to be great, but they gave it up for a guy who so far has been a big loser. If we give up something like that for Leinart and he turns out to be great, I wouldn't mind it so much, but the question is whether it's worth it if we could just land someone amazing at the 4 pick anyway.

Eli was the 23rd ranked passer in the NFL this year, with a 76 rating. To put that in some perspective Ramsey's career rating is about 75. Granted its a real small sample (1 game for him) but I also note that Eli was the lowest ranked passer by a mile in the playoffs.

This is not to mention is obvious visable faults. If you watched the playoff game you saw him do what he did during the season...make monstrous mistakes and worse look absolutely unpoised in the pocket.

One nfl expert, and I'm sorry I forget who it was and have no link, was quoted as saying as bad as Eli looked in that playoff game on TV, on film it was far worse, and this guy said he and other had serious concerns about Eli long term.

We will see, but I'm not sure how you hold this guy up as why the jets should make this deal, I'm not sure I'd even say that about Big Ben R, Pit didn't win because of him. If you want to hold someone up, how about Palmer.
