If he keeps his boys around the NFL is going to kick him. Then we'll get a court challenge and things will get very interesting. He'll lose but it will set precedents that will change the way pro sports relates to society. Kind of like the Curt Flood case but with an idiot in the star role not a champion of individual rights.

There's always CFL or Aussie rules...I'm sure they're not as stuck up as tight ass as the NoFunLeague.

I didnt see the need to start a new thread, but: Pacman is done.

    Breaking News:
LV police have charged him with 2 counts of felony coercion, and a warrant is out for his arrest.
    -------
The NFL/Jones saga is going to be closed soon. How can he not be barred from the league now.?

He's GOT to be done for good this time. If Goodell shows any signs of slipping on this, he's sunk as commish.

Nice career Pacman, guess the Ghosties got you!

Well, wouldn't he have to be convicted to be done? Charged and convicted are two different things....or do you not believe in "innocent until proven guilty"

Let's just say, and I'm playing devils advocate here, that someone said Alio did something bad. Now we know that Alio did nothing....but the police don't know this. So they drag Alio in and it turns out Alio indeed did nothing. However, under the Alio rules somewhere in the middle of this story Alio loses his job for life.

The fact that this guy has been in trouble several times should still not override innocent until proven guilty....correct?

Well actually, no. Innocent until proven guilty only has relevance in criminal trials, not in employment - there are loads of people who get fired from their jobs based on things that have nothing to do with criminal convictions or being innocent until proven guilty, especially if they have a continuing pattern of bad behavior.

Having said that, these charges (as opposed to being convicted of them) might actually have relatively little effect on him. He's already suspended for the year, and he was always going to be thrown out of the league permanently if he was convicted of a felony anyway.

    ollie knows the truth!

    anyway, about the ankle-biting thing:

it was supposed to be a big victory for St. Pacman there, because last week they did a DNA test and none of his saliva was identified. his camp claimed it cleared him of the ankle-biting allegation.

LOS ANGELES—Suspended Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam "Pac-Man" Jones called a press conference Tuesday in order to emphasize that he will be nowhere near a possibly fatal stabbing that will occur during a fight involving several members of his entourage and the bartender at an L.A.–area strip club this coming Friday.

    Did Police Target Pacman?
Troubled Titan Was Pulled Over in Lamborghini

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (July 12) - An attorney for suspended Titans cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones accused a sheriff's deputy of targeting Jones in a June traffic stop, saying there was no reason to pull over Jones' orange Lamborghini.

Attorney Worrick Robinson said he has been told the deputy had talked of his intention to pull over Jones when he had the chance.

"It was not because he was speeding. It was not because he was swerving or that he failed to obey any traffic signal or any other traffic laws," Robinson said of the traffic stop. "He pulled him over. He had heard that Mr. Jones did not have a valid driver's license."

News of the June 10 ticket issued in this Nashville suburb surfaced Tuesday.

Robinson said he got a copy Wednesday of the ticket, which cited Jones for a 30-day residency violation with a Georgia driver's license, no proof of insurance or registration. That citation included the notation that the deputy made the stop because another deputy told him the cornerback had no driver's license.

Jones, the first defensive player and the sixth player drafted overall in 2005, was suspended by the NFL in April for the 2007 season. He has been arrested six times since being drafted and currently faces two felony counts of coercion in Las Vegas and felony count of obstruction in Georgia.

He's due in court Aug. 10 on these most recent citations.

Chief Deputy Dusty Rhoades of the Williamson County Sheriff's Department said the deputy has declined to talk about the case and the department will not force him into a statement.

"His attorney is going to say anything to try to discredit the officer," Rhoades said. "We'll have to wait until Aug. 10."

The Tennessean newspaper first reported Robinson's accusation.

The attorney also wasn't happy that a local TV station got a copy of the citation.

"I just have a problem with an officer, whoever it is, faxing that to a media outlet," Robinson said. "No. 2, I think it's highly improper to have charged him with tag swiping."

Robinson said his copy of the June 10 citation also included a charge of tag swapping. But Rhoades insisted Thursday that Jones was cited for just three offenses: the residency violation and lacking proof of insurance and lacking proof of registration.

Robinson said the car had the proper tag issued in December 2006 and that Georgia remains Jones' primary residence, which is why he has a Georgia license. But Robinson added Jones might obtain a Tennessee license to show in court with his registration and insurance.

Vegas judge waives 'Pacman' court date By KEN RITTER, Associated Press Writer
Fri Jul 20, 7:18 PM ET

LAS VEGAS - Adam "Pacman" Jones won't have to appear in court until October to face charges in a strip club melee that preceded a triple shooting, authorities said Friday.

Jones' lawyer, Robert Langford, said he made an initial appearance on Jones' behalf Thursday, while representing a woman charged with Jones and Jones' bodyguard in the Feb. 19 fracas.

Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Tony Abbatangelo waived a scheduled Monday court date and set an Oct. 29 preliminary hearing for Jones, Sadia Morrison and Robert Reid, said Langford, who represents all three defendants.

A spokeswoman for Clark County District Attorney David Roger confirmed the new date.

Jones, Morrison and Reid remained free on bail and didn't appear in person.

No one has been charged in a shooting that occurred outside the club minutes after the brawl inside. A bar bouncer was paralyzed and two other people were left with less serious wounds at the club several blocks off the Las Vegas Strip.

Jones, a cornerback for the Tennessee Titans, faces two felony charges of coercion stemming from allegations he threatened to kill club employees and that he bit a bar bouncer in the melee during the NBA All-Star Game weekend.

Jones faces a maximum of 12 years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.

He has been suspended for the upcoming NFL season for disciplinary reasons, including six arrests and allegations of misconduct in jurisdictions around the country. He has not been convicted in those cases.

Las Vegas police have described Reid, 37, of Carson, Calif., as Jones' bodyguard. He faces one felony coercion charge alleging he attacked a Minxx bouncer who tried to restrain Jones.

Langford said the judge let him stand in for Jones and Reid while he was in court Thursday representing Morrison, 25, of New York. She faces five charges, including coercion, felony assault with a deadly weapon and battery stemming from allegations that she hit a bouncer in the head with a bottle and attacked other club employees with a chair and a stanchion.

All three intend to plead not guilty, their lawyer said.
