have you seen robertson's mini camp pictures, he looks like hes in great shape and after the way he played at the end of last season I really doubt there is any chance of him losing his starting spot, especially to Pouha.

I havent seen any pics of DRob since Minicamp but I dont think it changes the fact that he come on really strong at the end of the season last year...

On a side note, did anyone else catch the talking heads on Sports Center this morning?

They were talking about what AFC East rookies will have the biggest impact. They discussed how first David Harris needs to beat out Inside Linebacker Victor Hobson for playing time.

Either Mangini has already made a switch from last eyar's positions or ESPN has just pissed me off even more by putting idiots who don't know what they're talking about on the air.

1st....Either Kimo won't make the team Or will get hurt during season & not finish season as an active player.

Haynes has a chance to make team. Wadworth, he's a great story if he can show something.

Harris....If he gets in the rotation, that would be nice. Jets' are deepest at ILB. Hobson should be commanding one of those inside spots, but for some reason, Mangini has him at OLB...go figure? There's Vilma, Barton, Schlegel, etc....Jets' deepest position on defense.

Revis...If he can get into the rotation at CB, that would mean that he's doing a good job & helping the team. Jets' need another competent CB thrown into the mix for more depth. Dyson, Barrett, Revis....Jets' need another CB to step up for better quality at this position.

I can see Smith taking over full-time by mid-season. Ultimately, I can see Justin Miller playing along-side Kerry Rhodes at the Safety position & Coleman eventually being let go. There is a reason he was a 5th round draft pick ?

DE position....There's alot of competition there also. With Haynes, Coleman, Ellis, Hicks (there's a nice rotation there). I can see Kimo & Bobby Hamilton not making this years Jets' !!!
    - I can also see Jets' drafting a DE or signing a free agent DE next season. Ellis is 30 & Hicks is 31 !

    - Jets' really need to upgrade the NT poosition & create some competition there.

I agree that Robertson does look physically improved and I'm happy about his progress towards the end of last season. But his game is still about penetration and his disruptiveness in the opponents's backfield is bourne out of his quickness and athleticism. Traits that can also be suitable as a 3-4 Defensive End.

But in a 3-4, we need an NT that will be immovable and stout at the point-of-attack. Perhpas Pouha can offer that.

I read earlier that we had Hicks working at NT not DE. He might turn out to be Pouha's main competition. Also, what about CJ Mosley? Does he fit anywhere?
