this whole thing kind of confuses me. In the past me and my friends would just buy tickets for each week since im still on the waiting list for tickets. So now is there anyway possible to get a parking pass to go by the stadium like individually or am I definetly going to have to do the satellite thing.
I was told by a friend that the $150 was just for the right to park near the stadium. He said you are still on the hook for the 15 or 20 bucks on game day to park. Does anyone know what the deal is?
Each Pre-Paid Parking Permit states on the back, "This is a license to park one vehicle (automobile or SUV) on site at the Meadowlands Sports Complex as directed by stadium parking personnel." I take that to mean it gets me in without paying any more money. I'm assuming the people manning the gates at gametime will be collecting these stubs and not accepting cash at all. You either have the permit or you don't. The $150 was for 10 of these individual stubs ($15 per game), the same price as last year except we all paid it up front. Each stub is numbered "Game 1, Game 2," etc., so you have to show up with the correct parking stub (permit) or you don't get in either. The Preseason games are labeled "Game A and Game B." The people at the gates will just be responsible for collecting the stubs and making sure you have the correct one for today's game. Interesting to note it also states on the back: "Resale or attempted resale of this parking permit is prohibited, unless and only to the extent specifically authorized in writing by the New York Jets." Looks like they'll be cracking down on resales and handling it the same way they handle ticket resales.
By mentioning that you're on the waiting list, I'm assuming you buy your tickets thru the Jets website? If so, you're buying the tickets at face, but it may not necessarily mean you're going to get the Parking Permit as well, unless the seller posts that the sale includes it. Same with Stubhub or any other outlet. I have 4 Season Tickets (which entitles me to one Parking Permit). And say, for example, I can't use 2 of my 4 tickets for the Eagle game (Game 3). I put my 2 tix up for sale on the Jets website or Stubhub but I'm not about to give up my Parking Permit. So, as a buyer, you might want to look for that when purchasing, because it's going to become a big factor in resales this fall, IMO. Some guys are going to be buying tickets on eBay and thinking it automatically gets them into the parking lot or that the Parking Permit was included, only to receive the tickets and go to the parking lot and be sent on to the Satellite lot. There's going to be a lot of pissed off puppies out there when they find out they can't tailgate at the Satellite. Like I said, you might even start seeing Parking Permits showing up on eBay. Either that or you'll see lesser quality seats which include the Parking Permits being sold at higher prices than better quality seats without them.
i need my tickets!!!!!!!!! plus do you think they will be making sure the gates are not open before 4 hours before kickoff? yesteryears you could enter the lot before they started collecting.
gonna be great for those who can`t make every game. These parking passes will be worth more than the actual game tickets.
Game tickets = $65-$95 Parking pass = $15 It's $150 to park of all 10 games...same price as it was last year.
Game tickets = $65-$95 Parking pass = $15 It's $150 to park of all 10 games...same price as it was last year. i just park like a mile outside the stadium, and walk to the stadium, and i no, im cheap...
How can you compare the cost of parking permits for 10 games to the cost of a single game ticket? I'd like to know your logic here.
lot 17 is also partially blocked out b/c that is where the drop off will be for thew satellite buses. FRESH MEAT
Nope, there isn't a real rail method of getting there. The Port Authority Bus still is the best alternative for non-season ticket holders.
Says in the rules and regs guide this year the gates will be opening 7 hours before kickoff. So I guess if you can get there before 6:00am on Sunday for a 1:00 kickoff you should be able to cruise right in. Ugh.....
Seacaucus junction is about 3 miles away you could take a taxi not sure how hard it would be to get one after the game
4 Person Per Car for Stadium Lots I have not seen this yet but my dad received the season tickets today and he informed me that for this season if you do not have four people in your car you will have to park far away from the stadium and take a shuttle. Even if you have a pass for a specific lot they won't accept it. This is what I was told, maybe some other season ticket holders have gotten this and can clarify if this correct.
I got my passes. No indication anywhere on the 4 per car as you mention. The only think that is mentioned is that the 1 car, 1 spot policy will be strictly enforced.
I have two season tix and I received my parking pass the other day. No mention of four people in your vehicle either.
I heard that you will get 1 PASS per 4 tickets.... so that may be what you're referring to. They couldn't, under law, keep you from going into a parking spot you PAID for.
