I been on here dogging our new FO and I still don't belive we are going to do anything under this new era,but I will say that getting Ramsey for a 6th round is a good deal for us. I don't believe he will be a good starter in the NFL,but if he turns out to be crap then we did only give a late draft choice. One day off for new Ramsey thread..
Ramsey was a solid move. He has experience and isn't a head case. I think drafting a QB in the first round would be a bad choice. The Jets have more needs right now than the quarterback position (DE, DT, CB, RB, LT, C). The Jets should go after D'Brickashaw as much as they can. You need to protect these quarterbacks, and the Jets need to go after this guy.
All we have to do is keep Abe and we don't need a DE. We still need to take a QB (Vince Young) if he there.
I would rather take my chances with D'Brickashaw and as much as I would love to keep Abe, its not happening.
Don't you remember that we are going to a 3-4? Abe doesn't fit ANYWHERE- not at End (too small) and not at LB (can't cover to save his ass). Where do you want to put the guy?
Ok Ive been thinking about this alot since I heard the Ramsey talks. I think Ramsy should be given a chance to start. I think this because he has a lot of talent and he was just in a bad situation. I also think that we should trade the number 4 get a couple of extra picks no lower then 10 and draft the BPA. This draft is deep we need to capitilize on it. Mangini and Shottenheimer are very smart. IF Mangini infact come from Belli's school of thinking he would not throw away picks. If Ramsey doesnt work out there are some good QBs next year as well.
then you would delaying n the rebuildin process a year. anyway you put it the rookie is gonnna have to sit for year. and were still gonna need a vet in the meantime with chad being such a question mark. so 06, 07 it must be done.
