Not being able to throw a decent post or fly hurts the team. Not being able to throw a crisp 15 yard out kills us every year!

if only Jeff George or Browning Nagle was our Qb.. Boy they really got the arm strength it takes to succeed in the NFL..

A better chance at what? We are trying to win a S/B and Chad is not going to deliver that ever. We can start Kellen now or start him 8 games into the season but he will be behind center this year. The Pennington era will soon be at an end.

so if our goal is to win a SB, which might be the only thing I agree with you about. Wouldn't you think that having your best option as the starting Qb would make more sense.. Everything we are hearing about KC is that he is alot closer to losing the #2 job than he is to winning the #1 job..

Chad is the smartest Qb in the Nfl and where has it gotten us in five years? I will take a tough C student like Farve, Marino or Aikman anytime. Keep your wonderlick test. This is football not rocket science. Smarts will get you so far without talent. Chad is so smart and we get the same results every year.

The point that is lost is that we are still rebuilding. Look at who we have to beat to get to a s/b. We have a better team than last year and will probally have a worse record. One thing we have learned from the Tangini era is not to believe anything we hear. If that is indeed true then we need to find out sooner than later. The fact of the matter is the Chargers, Patriots, Bengals, Steelers, Colts and Broncos are not going anywhere anytime soon and they are all better than us. We need to find out what do do behind center right now as opposed to when we rebuild the defense and O-lines. I would rather get rid of Chad a year to early as opposed to a year to late.

unfortunately, we need the wits of a penny and the arm of a average to above average qb to be a legit superbowl threat. for the most part, most superbowl winners have always had the top tier qb's of their time.

as far as clemon's is concerned, chance's of him becoming a top tier qb are slim and getting slimmer as time goes by and we hear more and more about him not progressing as well as the team had hoped.

I saw that. Who cares what Jaworski thinks? His opinion and an EZ Pass will get you across the bridge.

ok, good post & I do agree with this to some extent. Only problem is this is not a rebuilding year to Mangini, when a team is coming off a 10-6 season and a playoff berth and has improved the talent, the HC is not thinking about taking a step back. One thing we could be sure about is Mangini will play the best players that give the Jets the best chance of making the playoffs and advancing. If KC is the best option he will get the opportunity but I just don't think that is the case, at least not yet.

Don't get me wrong I want the Jets to win but I just do not see us getting to the next level with Chad. I actually wish he had the talent because he is a great Guy. With that said Mangini will try to win no matter what and that is why I like him as our coach. The problem is the Qb is the most important position on that field and it has to be settled by the time we are able to compete with the big boys.

If Mangini didn't look at last year as a rebuilding year--when the rest of the world did--he certainly isn't going to this year after reaching the playoffs. The QB position is settled for now, as settled as it's been and as settled as it's going to be unless Chad gets hurt. Like him or not, that's the deal.

Let me get this straight............. Most everyone has wadded panties because Ron Jaworski rates the Jets offense as the worst in the AFC east. 3 pages (I put the Max# of posts per page....40). Yup it is definitely the offseason.

As much as I hate to say it, he can certainly be correct. The O-line needs improvement to even become servicable when it comes to run blocking and can use just as much improvement pass blocking. I think T. Jones is going to help tremendously but really is Jaws analysis that much of a reach. There is only one offense in this division above everyone. That is because they have Brady. The other 3 can be rated anywhere there after without stretching reality. Incidentally he rated Miami higher because of C.C. and what he brings to the table offensively.

Also, Jaworski is the one guy I would not waste time questioning his objectivity. He is almost always fair and balanced except when it comes to the Eagles.

He's really pro all 3 teams that wear a lot of green in the uniform. He always rates the Eagles, Jets and Packers higher than most other commentators. Not sure what that's all about but I appreciate having a national analyst who doesn't just shrug when the Jets come up.

What a damn retard.....Thomas Jones, 2 O-lineman who were rookies last year and looked good, Pennington(prob the #3 QB in the division but still), plus Coles and Cotchery who had big season's last year......fuckin dumbass idiot...
