This is insane!!! How can you not get Schaub or their 15 overall in this deal? Now i try to be a nice guy...but these guys are just asking for us to deal abe to seatlle. LOL dude you realize we own the contract, and he can't play anywhere else in the NFL if we don't let him right? If he doesn't want us to franchise him every year until he's useless or too injured to continue, he's going to go where we send him. That simple.
Because they do not SIGN him, they AGREE to a deal, and then go to the Jets for a trade. They won't do the deal if the Jets say just sign him and give us the 2 #1s.

Tanny needs to take a hard-line in these negotiations, if Atlanta took the trouble to work out a contract with Abe which he accepted. Then it shows how desperate they crave his services. I say take them to the cleaners.

Possible thoughts on what might happen Yeah there's 9 billion threads on this but whatever. So we acquired Ramsey today. Atlanta has come to a deal with Abraham supposedly. Anyone think that we might still be going after Schaub and Ramsey was more of a lateral move to give the Falcons a backup? Probably unlikely, but I guess maybe a possibility. Considering the Seahawks have stepped up on the trade front, the Jets might be in good position to set Seattle and Atlanta against each other. As much as Abe can be a dick and try to force where he goes, I don't think it will happen. Mangini won't allow it because Belicheck would never allow it. They'll take the best deal for the team IMO, look back at probably the Pats last biggest trade. A washed up Bledsoe to a division rival for two first round picks.
No way does Ramsey beat out Pennington. The only way Ramsey starts is if Chad can't throw by week 1. I hope we still make a play for Leinart because no QB on our roster right now is the answer.
