Has anyone tried to buy tickets for the Ravens on gameday in Baltimore? Is it possible? Easy? I know its the home opener for them -- but id like to make plans to go down.
I'm in the DC area (Nothern VA to be exact) and I am seriously considering going and bring my 5 year old son. I want his first NFL game to be a Jet game. Anyway tickets are not hard to buy for Ravens games. There is also some pretty good tailgating too.
My father and I live in Bel Air, MD (I just got out of college, and am living with the rents for a while) and I think I'm going to buy him a ticket to go with me as an early birthday present. I was wondering what the cost would look like, personally.
I'm actually hopefully going also. Once I decided to go to Loyola (right outside Baltimore) my dad told me I could buy tickets to the game. I'm also wondering how much people think they will be? I'm not looking for great tickets. Just ones where I can see the game.
Greyhoundjet, I too go to Loyola..just finished up my freshman year there, great time..Also considering going to the ravens/jets game...its a nice stadium, I saw notre dame play navy there..I'm considering taking the train and seeing them play the redskins as well
I live in Laurel MD and went last time we played there....scored some free tix from work. By the way, anyone who lives near laurel that doesn't have the ticket, I own a deli in laurel and will have the games at the deli during the season if anyone wants to come watch. I'll catch hell from the Skins and Ravens fans, but it will only be Jets games on the tube so feel free.......
I live in Baltimore (Mt Vernon) and was planning on trying to pick up some extra tickets in the lot, but I don't know how easy that will be since it's the season opener. If anyone has some extras they want to get rid of at face valu, PM me.
Gentlemen, My daughter lives in Maryland and is a Ravens fan.Not only that she is a season ticket holder. She said Dad you are my guest for the day and all expenses are on her. I will be there with bells on and a New York Jets jersey. I hope we kick ass. I will be screaming just as loud there as I would be in my own rec room. I hope I don't get murdered. J-E-T-S-Jets,Jets,Jets. Allentown Ernie.
Nice, I can't wait until next year. The school looks pretty amazing. Where did you go to watch Jets games?
i live pretty close so I am definitely going to try to make it if I can get tickets off stubhub or ebay
I live in DC and I definietely plan to get tickets to the Game. However, I do not know if they have tickets on sale to that game yet.
hmmm...I've heard that Ravens fans can be pretty crude, rude, etc. Be sure to get some first hand knowledge of what the atmosphere is like there before you bring a 5 year old.
the fans werent that bad when I was there two years ago, but then again maybe they felt sorry for us because Bollinger was starting
Ravens tix usually sell out very fast , you might score some within the first 5 minutes of the general on sale. Otherewise you will be paying above face on Stubhub- Being Season Opener probably Double face value or more.
Greyhoundjet, me and a couple kids took a cab to the espnzone in the inner harbor (about 15 min from Loyola) where they have televisions up for every football game..its actually pretty diverse you meet some diehard fans of different teams, but its still mostly ravens fans..you could always walk over to newman towers on campus and watch the games there (they have sunday ticket), but theres only a few televisions and they get taken up pretty quickly..the zone is definitely your best bet though
Thanks for the advice there.. thats what I figured I would have to do and its so close that its a pretty good option
Ravens fans are ROUGH. Toughest in the league besides the Eagles I would say. It is borderline torture going to Jets games there. I will be there though no doubt. I doubt they will say anything mean to a five year old kid though. Should be intense baby! I think all Jets fans on TGG should pick a spot to meet and tailgate for that game. It will be fun for sure.
