Quite frankly, it's kind of worthless, trying to get into minicamp, when you can just go to training camp two months later when it's open to the public.

im sorry thats what i meant, training camp...i mean i go every year, its great but last year i noticed that there were some people on the other side of the fence. I asked someone and they told me they were VIP passes. I was just wondering if anyone knew how to get them, these were just ordinary people standing on the sidelines...

I called the Jets once and asked them how to get VIP passes. They said the VIP passes are giving to friends of the Jets (I support the Jets, can't I be a friend?).

I have heard some people on the board get them through businesses associated with the Jets (beverage companies, sponsors, etc.)

Those passes are also used as prizes for contests. I also remember receiving an email that if you bought tickets for a Jets fundraiser (Taste of New York?) you would get VIP passes for camp.

You can earn VIP passes (and other Jets merchandise) if you get the Jets credit card. Many members of this site have this card. I believe you need 20,000 points to earn the passes.

I don't know if there is a way to just purchase them. I've tried.

That's all I got. I'm sure some other folks have more information on how to get them. I hope this helps.

Sitting in the stands at training camp as opposed to standing on the sideline is like 20 yds maybe..no biggie. I see groups of kids sitting on the sideline , must be through PR Dept

VIP Camp access doesn't impress me much. Players don't interact with the "VIP's" any more than they do with us "Civillians" in the stands. Stand around like a mope on the sideline, or sit 12 yards behind, on a reasonably comfortable bleacher amongst real Jets fans- I know where I'd rather be.

Yah those passes are basically for friends/family of the players. They really aren't any different or better. Just like the family seats at the games. The only real difference is it puts all of the families together so they a. get good seats and b. don't have to sit next to a guy who is yelling "you suck" to their son/husband. However, it's truly not any better. I wouldn't worry about trying to get them. Definitely more work than it's worth.

I got a VIP pass for one day last year. My uncle's friend owns a shitty magazine called New York Sportscene and I got a VIP Press Pass because I posed as an intern. It was awesome, I was 2 feet away from Chad Pennington, Brad Smith, and Kevan Barlow during their post-practice interviews.

If there are little kids sitting on the sidelines with VIP passes, just wait for one of them to use the restroom and simply take the pass from him. Duh.

Yeah. I'm up to 5000, so maybe I can get VIPs to training camp in 2010, lol. Super Bowl Tix are 200,000. I don't plan on buying a house with my credit card, so I guess I can count those out.
