Look at the size of him compared to other players. He looks a whole lot smaller than his reported 6.0 185lbs. I wanted Garrett Wollfe and got told that for the RB position that he was way too small , maybe but he would have still been a threat coming out of the backfield on swing passes and options. I think alot of these smaller players are worth a second look. http://www.newyorkjets.com/news/articles/show_permalink/stuckey-conference-call
he is not much smaller than reggie bush, and he is a wide out. he looks bulkier than r. moss, though shorter
He looks very tightly muscled. As though he wont be able to gain much more muscle mass. and yes I am worried he will get hurt.
That's a lot more like it. I thought I saw him at 5'10" or even 5'9" when we drafted him. 6'0" is ridiculous.
on the official site..... 83 WR Height: 6'0" Weight: 185 lbs Birthday: 10-4-1983 Years in NFL: R College: Clemson http://www.newyorkjets.com/players/...r=player&return_to_action=show_active_players ........and from the NFL site~ Chansi Stuckey Height: 5-10 Weight: 185 Position: Wide Receiver/Punt Returner College: Clemson http://www.nfl.com/draft/profiles/2007/stuckey_chansi
Marvin Harrison is a perfect example, he isn't even 185 and is able to stay healthy. Anyone can get hurt, regardless of size...look at T.O.....or even David Boston, he was huge and was hurt so much that now his career is over...
Why don't you look at the picture from another perspective? It seems to me that Stucky caught that ball between a corner-back, line-backer, and a strong safety. What are the chances that all these 3 different position defenders will be near the sideline or down the field all at the same time? So, that catch was middle of the field. What I take from this picture is that, Stucky is not afraid to go over the middle. Which is very important if you want to play in the slot.
Harrison is a bad example. He's one of the most gifted players in NFL history at avoiding unnecessary contact. Jerry Rice is the other receiver who was able to evade the rough action even though he had the ball so much.
Stuckey is undoubtedly best suited for a slot receiver spot due to his quick acceleration off the line.
From watching a lot of Clemson football and having a family member working with the Clemson football program, I can tell you that his injuries have everything to do with the tenacity that he plays with and less to do with his actual size.
I think his three injuries in college were mild concussion, sprained thumb, and broken foot. I don't think any of these injuries have to do with the size of the football player.
