He might. But like Mangini said - It's the name on the front of the jersey, not the one on the back. We don't need star power. We need a great team. No team with TO, unless he does a complete 180, will be a healthy team.
Even though we obviously (and thankfully) weren't going to sign Owens, he is now off the market. http://www.klbk.com/sports/default.asp?mode=shownews&id=1461
Actually he's not, it was a close friend of his who said he did, but Owens is denying reports now according to the espn bottomline as of 10:45pm est.
why would TO want to come here? so this thread is pointless because TO wants nothing to do with us. And IMO the feeling is mutual.
Bottom line on TO 1.How many rings does he have?????? 2.How many great relationships does he have with former QBs and HCs???? 3. How many locker rooms destroyed??? Answers below: 1. 0 2. 0 3. Every team he has played for If he is such a winner, then why didn't the Eagles keep him and why doesn't he have SB ring??
Yeah, we need TO. We are rebuilding and are going nowhere, so why not sign a 32 year old receiver, who is totally the opposite what Mangini is looking for........... While we are at it, why don't we try to trade for Peyton Manning.........
You could make the same argument for Aberaham yet you have consistently advocated doing everything to keep him. I'm not for TO based on his age and where the team is but the team does lack explossive offensive talent and we desperately need it if we are to go anywhere in the future.
With Rich Camini more or less saying in the chat the other day that there was no chance (zero) of bringing TO to the Jets; the last thing we needed was yet another TO thread. I almost choked on my coffee when I saw this today.
Facts and logic? Oh, I think I've heard about them. Something your suppose to use when making decisions right? I always though my time here would never allow me to marvel at such things.
How many teams does TO have to single-handedly destroy before people stop taking him seriously? Two isn't enough? The guy is talented enough that I can see two or three more teams in the future saying, "Well TO was trouble before, but he's due to be a team player. The reward is worth the risk." Except he won't be, and it won't be. I just hope the Jets won't be one of those teams.
