People talk about that game like we ran great. Somebody even said we ran the ball down thier throats. We had 110 yards..sheesh. Even the Pats had 143 in that game? What are people talking about?
The Jets won't have a gameplan for week one. They are going to give up immediately upon taking the field, and wish Bill Belichick congratulations on his new Lombardi Trophy. Oh, wait, that's just half of the 'long-time Jets fans' on this board. Puke.
Hey everybody. I haven't been here for a while. I just wanted to point out that Wilfork wasn't even playing in that game - either was Seymour for 3/4 of it.
Why don't we worry about the week 1 gameplan when we know which players are going to be on our roster? Let's not get ahead of ourselves... That being said, let's not immortalize the Pats until we see them. We can win.
we need to not turn it over, and score td's when in the red zone. too much of one and not enough of the other last year. with chad having the same oc for back to back seasons we should be good on the turn overs.
We averaged 4 yards per carry and we had success running the ball in the 4th quarter,Barlow's first down on the draw during a second and 10 was the most beautiful 10 yard run I've ever seen. The pats only had so much success on the ground,if you take out Dillon's 50 yard run then the pats had 93 yards on 24 carries which averages under 4 yards a carry.
If by the grace of God Curtis does't retire and decides to play this season..(I dobut it will happen too, but you had to get a little excited with the article in today's NY Daily News).....and he somehow takes the field for Game 1, even if he carries the ball only once or twice....Mark it down right now....THERE IS NO WAY WE WILL LOSE THAT GAME!!!! The rally cry in the huddle the whole game will be win one for the Gipper...
You're right. My bad. Wilfork was out most of the Miami game and vs. Texans. But having Warren and Seymour out did help your O-Line considerably. As for this season?? Who know's. We'll all have to wait and see. A lot of intangables can happen from TC on. Bruschi broke his arm during TC last year. Jackson pulled his hamstring. All I know is that I can't wait for the season to start.
More dangling the cookie in front of our face..come on...lets face it..opening day for us is week 2. We have no shot against, what many are already calling them, the best team to put on a helmet since the condom was invented. Please stop tormenting us.
The Jets have a decent shot at winning. The AFC East has always played the Patriots very competitively, good teams or not...and I actually think that playing the Pats in the first week actually benefits the Jets since the Pats can't really game plan to New York's tendencies. P.S. I'm a Pats fan.
