http://nfl.aolsportsblog.com/2007/0...-most-famous-undrafted-free-agent-ever-a-sai/ this will probably get moved to the NFL forum, but a lot of guys here were hoping to see this monster of a man in greenand white (myself included)....it looks like hes headed to the big easy....too bad we didnt take a flyer on this guy considering our huge need at the position. as a UFA he brings zero risk. its not definite, do heres to hoping...
What I get from all this is that teams do not really care about the off-field issues of a player until it becomes a hassle...if the coach/fo feel that undue time is being spent dealing with a player's issues...then that player is gone (see: moss, porter, ...conversely, if they feel that the player is worth the hassle (see: LEWIS, Irvin, Taylor, Steve Howe-sorry had to), then they stay. Simple business logic. Seems like most of the 32 teams felt this guy wasn't worth the hassle, which puts us in the top 5 teams least interested.
Can a human being be any dumber. This schmuck had his MySpace containing pot smoking comments during the time immediately preceeding the draft. Real NUMB SKULL.
No thanks- let someone else take in the trash. Real Einstein- declaring his affinity for weed in the period leading up to the draft. Dropping the N-Bomb in every other sentence probably worked wonders too.
Would you be monitoring your MySpace profile leading up to arguably the most important day of your life?
If my concern was image and looking as squeaky clean for prospective employers, which these 32 teams are, you had better believe that I would monitor anything which could influence their decision- especially something within your control like a Myspace account... Image is a huge factor when you're regarded as someone of an inferior ability level compared to those who are drafted before you. Let him become someone else's mistake...
Walter Thomas left the first NO practice 15-minutes into the first session! What a pansy. http://www.neworleansprofootball.com/051207thomas.html
Apparently he was helped off the field and then cleared out his locker. Cut right after the session ended.
