Anyone think we should waste a 6th or 7th on this kid on the hopes that having good character guys like Martin and Kendall and Vilma around him with straighten him out.

He has alot of athletic ability and is more of a pure passer than his brother. Marcus is more pass first run second. I think that with time and some good mentoring he could be a special type of player and yet no one is talking about him.

If that's the case - we should sign TO so that way Marcus will have someone to throw it too. Then the Jets can have liek their own NFL version of "The Real World". Maybe Lawrence Phillips is interested in making a comeback?

If the guy isnt a Rhodes Scholar and hasnt rescued 15 people in a fire or won the Noble Peace prize not many here will want him.

A lot of people don't want him because:
    • He sucks.
    • A lot.
    • He is in trouble with the law.
    • A lot.
    • He lives off his brother's name.
    • He sucks.

i wouldn't sign him as an undrafted free agent for the minimum so i certainly woudln't waste a 6th rounder on him

That the problem - all the fans want players who have great moral standing but the facts are that sometimes people make mistakes in life and you have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Look at Coles, he was kicked off FSU before the Bowl game becuase of his part in the theft of shoes.

Julius Jones left Notre Dame for a year and lived with his brother because he was having issues adjusting and with the support from his brother, he has turned his life around.

Look at Marcus Williams of Uconn - he came back and has been a perfect person since then.

Yeh, but Vick didn't learn after the 1st, 2nd or 3rd time....how many chances do you give a person and that was living off his brother's money.. Now think what he will do with his own millions.

Marcus Vick is twice the QB his brother will ever be. He is more accurate. THey match up in arm strength & speed.

He is also more patient than his brother. Marcus Vick will make an impact in the NFL eventually either as a return man / WR or QB

I would waste a 6th round pick on him. We've wasted higher picks than that on trash.

Do people on this board even watch NCAA football? Because some of these replies seem are people talking out their asses.

BTW I went to WVU & I hate Virginia Tech as much as I hate the DOlphins. Marcus Vick is just an outstanding athlete.

Think about it this way - would you rather send a 5th to Washington and get a player who was benched at halftime of the 1st game of this past season or a 6th on a kid who has the speed and arm to maybe do something special?

How can he be twice the QB if he's only more accurate! I wouldn't want either one of them!

After watching Marcus this year I'd say he's definitely the passer that his brother is. He has the speed on the 40 that his brother has, however he doesnt have the speed on the field. He's not a top notch runner, and he's a horrible guy. If I had the choice, I'd rather not have him on my team even as an undrafted free agent. And I'm a huge Virginia Tech fan.

neither.....draft a QB in the 1st rd and go from there...neither of the Vicks will ever win a championship, they're not that good.

yes it will, name a FA QB that would help us more! I've always like Chad but we all know we can't count on him, so who else is there.
