I really like Cutler and think we should take him with the 4th pick. What does everyone else think about him.

    Welcome to the board....

    I moved to Charlotte too...

Per most of the beat writers, they aren't enamored with his mechanics, feel that picked up bad habits. I'll tell you, look at JP Losman, same thing...mobile, big arm, bad mechanics....

I have this feeling...they actually want Cutler.... smoke screening - this whole bit with Atlanta is screening for Schaub when we really want pick 15, so they'll "settle" by giving us that pick...

Then hopefully they move down a few picks, pick up a 2nd, and still get Cutler. I still have a feeling that Oakland wants Vince. I feel confident Cutler is there at 7 b/c Green Bay has Aaron and SF has Alex.

Been down here now for 7 years from Jersey, and it's not all that bad besides not going to all the JETS games, but still watch them all on the ticket. This year was tuff though after getting killed by the Panthers...Went to the game and was having a blast until the 2nd half plus I had to hear all the smack from their fans, which only about 25% are real fans.

I agree on his mechanics but they can be fixed and they're not as bad as Young's plus he's alot stronger then Leinart. I too think we really want him and everything else is BS....we've got enough cap room now that we could've signed any FA QB that we wanted too but we didn't so I feel we are going with a QB in the draft. I prefer Cutler but Leinart we be good also.

    Went to that panthers game....

Ty Law, Woody, 'Dinger signed my hat....they walked past me. Ellis & D-Rob gave some kids next to me their gloves.....

Honestly, my best case scenario for right now is Ramsey b/c of the cost and I think he has upside. Then there are still 5 weeks left for Tangini & Schotty to decide if they want Cutler or not. I highly doubt Leinart slips to 4, Chow helped him win the Heisman, I can't imagine they take Young or Leinart.

why take cutler when we could nab someone like croyle or jacobs later, and get a person who will immediately help this team

Because Jay Cutler has the potential to be a bona fide franchise QB...not that Jacobs or Croyle can't...Jay is just very talented...if we can harness that talent (I think Schott could) then he will be a very good person to have on our team...

If we stay at 4 thats who I want.

I totally agree with you...I just have a good feeling about him, especially after going in and doing the bench press at the combine....he made some linemen look bad!!!

because #4 is to early for him. Maybe if we traded down to 10 & hes still there we would take him

I honestly doubt he falls that far. Not just because I like him alot. Teams like the Raiders and Lions will probably gobble him up before anyone could blink. If the Jets do covet Cutler like we think they do...they are lucky to be in the position they are in because it is the best spot to be guaranteed Cutler. Nobody before 4 will take him unless a team trades into the Saints spot and takes Leinart. Then the Titans might grab Cutler at 3.

C'mon now people!!! Why on earth would the Jets be interested in Jay Cutler, who is potentially a franchise quarterback, when they could easily trade for the backup quarterback of the Falcons?

Cutler is so underrated! hes the only QB with no question marks towards his physical game.

Say dude. just take your time and surf the other pages. You will find your answer in a billion threads...................

But anyway, with Abe possibly headed to Atl. I think Mario Edwards moves to the top of the list............... I heard on Sirius, that he is projected to be better than Peppers.............
