Anyone else disappointed that Alan Branch wasn't the pick at 14?

Where does everyone thnk he is going to fall to? I have a sick feeling the Pats may take him at 24

It's crazy how these Michigan defensive players always fall-Shazor two years ago, Watson last year, now Branch. Branch would've been a good fit in the middle of the 3-4, but I definetly prefer Revis at 14.

Should the jets make a move up for him in round 2?

    NO!!

(The Pats have a young NT with Wilfork and need some in the secondary/linebacking areas)

Branch may fall into Round 2. He wouldn't be the first highly touted DL to fall due to injury and motor concerns.

We need a DT badly, but there will be options in rd 2 and 3. I want Paul Soliai.

to be fair, i'm a big fan of branch and i'm hoping we trade 63 plus our 2nd rounder next year to move up in round 2 and nab him

Im not sold on branch but at the same time i wouldnt mind taking a stab at him and moving up a bit in the 2nd round. I dont know much about soliai so i cant really debate who's the better pick of the two.

I'd absolutely be down with that, but I'd be more down if we moved up for Blalock.

Oh get out of here. Branch isn't as good as Robertson straight up.

UMMMM YES.....hes better against the run straight up...overall hes not and thats why we get an additional pick in return...Branch would be the NT anchor we are looking for

Yeah, that's why the guy isn't even getting picked in the first round. Robertson went #4 overall. Different level player.
