Knock it if you will.He is 1 of the top 5 recievers in the NFL.He brings explosiveness and charisma to a team lacking the superstar stardom.Think about it T.O knows this is his last chance to salvage his career.He will be a model citizen on and off the field.He will make any qb want to be a Jet.Like him or not the man is football player.He can talk the talk and walk the walk. If the Schaub threads can continue so can the Owens threads.

True that. And I would never want Owens. We could get talent somewhere else. the draft for instance. It's obvious that the WR possition isn't at the top of the Jets' list right now.
Three Reasons why TO will never be a Jet... 1- Mangini "I want players who play for the team on the helmet...not the name on the back of the jersey." 2- He is an asshole (whom I think has mental issues...seriously) 3- He is also getting up there in the age department. You simply don't understand how bad of a fit TO would be for this team...
WR is a useless position to fill if you haven't got a grip on both the QB and OL situation. While we need WR help....i think it's probsbly last on the priority list right now....besides...if they bring TO in I will officially end my fanaticism for this team.. Besides, anyone who thinks it's a remote possibility hasn't been paying attention to the "Mangini" credo, where he wants smart, selfless players who are willing to play within a system...I hardly think TO fits the bill.

Owens is the best wide receiver in the NFL, the kind that can carry a team on his back, but not what the Jets want right now. We're NOT a contender, and we're trying to build a team both young and strong in character. If we were going to make a run for TO, it would have been last season, but that ended up being Ty Law.
The recievers we have are not that good.Coles is not what he once was.McCareins has been a major disappointment.Cotchery is unproven.So tell me again that we dont need recievers.Dont overlook this department because it wont matter who you get for qb.
I actually think Torry Holt is the best WR in the NFL...the stats speak for themselves and he is also a GREAT character player...I would take him over any other WR easy.
You may be right about our WR's, but TO is not the answer. We were looking to sign the WR from GB who had a productive year last year.

You are right...he isn't TO. He has better stats and has been a good enough teammate to be able to stay on one team.
Tory Holt the last 6 seasons...has had over 80 receptions and 1300 yards in EACH of those seasons... Tory Holt is the Curtis Martin of WR's...The ultimate team player and a dominate, consistent player as well... TO is not on the same level as Tory Holt or Marvin Harrison...
