"I think Branch is the 1st rounder of the year who slips to the 20s, as Mel Kiper and Tood McShay look on in awe, and we snatch him up.

If he's there at 25, and that's what I'm betting, I would be pretty thrilled to see him become a Jet, and move DRob over to DE."

Well I hope so too, but most likely that won't happen. Maybe if the Jets can package up J-Mac and trade up a few spots. Also, ESPN said Eric Barton might be on the "wheel and deal" list. If that's the case, I'm thinking the Jets draft a linebacker later on.

Order of needs in my opinion:

    1. NT
    2. CB
    3. TE
    4. WR

Blaylock would have the biggest impact of anyone we could draft. I keep having flashbacks of our RBs getting blownup as soon as they touch the ball. We need some beef up front. That said, if someone drops like Spencer then I would be fine with that pick.

Please no Olsen... reminds me of Jolley.

We wouldn't even be thinking about Olsen if they spent their 3rd on Moss:pats_suck:

    I don't think the Jets stay at # 25.

I will say eiher Leon Hall or Brandon Merriweather.

Everybody is trying to trade down, that won't be easy.

Three guys I like IF they slip there is no way the they will get past the jets at 25:

Ted Ginn Jr.: not a great need area but just too good to pass up.

Posluszny: A Mangini guy and can play the run and pass equally well.

Alan Branch: would take care of that NT problem we have

I agree, but if the right player isthere for the right team it can happen. Say Olsen for Oakland or Chicago. OR other low 2nd round teams for a player they maybe targeting.

No on Ginn we already have good returner, and he won't ever be a great receiver in my opinion.

Where does Puz play? Next to an undersized 3-4 ILB?

From GMjr by Russ Lande (IMO the best draft book).

Ginn Jr: He is the most explosive and truly fast player I have ever graded and believe he can be in the mold of Steve Smith and Santana Moss, but is even MORE EXPLOSIVE then they are. It is important to note while everone is knocking Ginn for being raw and unpolished, he ran by two of this years top cornerbacks (Leon hall and Aaron Ross) to score long touchdowns. He has the explosiveness, speed and open field running ability that cannot be taught.

By no means did I say he was not explosive or fast. But I've also heard he route running is shoddy, he's been injured , and he is raw.(think Dante Hall) we need someone to help us now in the 1st round. After CJ, I like Bowe the best at wr.

I think the Jets will continue to build the O line with Blaylock. It makes the most sense. This is assuming the Grubbs is off the board. Olsen is the glamour pick but I think we can address TE later. Keep building the O line and we will have some amazing offense.
