Just vote on who you think the Jets will take with their 25th pick in the first round, assuming that is where they stay. Then explain why they will take him and if that's who you want them to take.
They'll take Anthony Spencer of Purdue with the intent to convert him to outside linebacker. As a good college DE he'll fit right into the pass rush and be an impact player from day 1. With the additions of Kenyon Coleman and Anthony Spencer the Jet's 3-4 has a very good chance of stepping up to the next level in the coming season.
I say Aaron Ross. I think CB is at the top of the priority list and Hall and Revies will be gone. Personally, i like Ross much more than Houston. Houston reminds me too much of Justin Miller.
Well to start, Darrelle Revis, Patrick Willis and Alan Branch won't likely be at #25... I'd have to say Anthony Spencer with Justin Blalock a close second, but Spencer isn't there. I can't shake the terrible feeling that we won't pass on Greg Olsen at #25... I have a very bad feeling about that.
Well, I went with other, because I think guys like Posluszny, Harrell, Harris, and Spencer are all strong possibilities. I honestly don't have a preference as long as the guy turns out to be a stud. BPA all the way.
i picked jarrett. i would love to see chad have a big target down the field, seems he's never had that.
I think Willis, Revis and Branch will be gone and I really think it will be Olsen. I know that most people on these boards seem to dislike him but I really do like him and I think he would be a great pickup. But the three I would really like in the first (assuming nobody drops like a Posluszny) and of course all this could change tommorrow are Blalock, Jarrett and Olsen
ditto From the guys who have 1st round written on them and could be available at 25, I like him the most. But I can't go too crazy because I've only seen Spencer play three or four times. Once again, I think Jarrett will be a JAG (just a guy). There is a speed issue here and physical cornerbacks are going to have their way with him. He's J.J. Stokes: the USC Version. Jarrett also has an attitude problem.
I would say Spencer because it's widely know the Jets FO had a hard on for Adallus (sic) Thomas. I think the thinking is that Spencer can be the next Thomas. My hope is that if they can't get Spencer or Ross, they trade out of this slot.
I choose Jarrett, thats who I want them to take. I dont think they'll take him and I think they'll take Spencer.
I think it's gonna be Olsen, and I'm going to be extremely happy (assuming they didn't pass on Dwayne Jarrett.) Remember, this is who they'll take, not who you want them to take. I know many are against taking Olsen because of past TE failures, but I'm really starting to think that Olsen is their guy.
......other: anthony spencer is my vote not that i'd want them, but posluszny or timmons could be the pick also
I think Branch is the 1st rounder of the year who slips to the 20s, as Mel Kiper and Tood McShay look on in awe, and we snatch him up. If he's there at 25, and that's what I'm betting, I would be pretty thrilled to see him become a Jet, and move DRob over to DE.
I would like Willis to pare with Vilma, I figured he was on the list so why not, but realistically I want Blalock
How good are the corner backs this draft on a scale of 1 - 10? If it is a deep draft with great corner back prospects, do you guys think there is a chance we move up to take the best available CB? Or is it not a good thing to trade up for just a corner?
i think they are trading up or down. up for carriker, or down for blalock or grubbs. i don't think they draft houston.
