    1) Justin Blalock, OG, Texas. NFL Economics are making it tougher to sign quality interior lineman to reasonable contracts so the answer to that is to breed them yourself. I normally wouldn't want to go guard in the 1st round but this guy has elite potential and would be an immediate upgrade and improve the entire offense.

    2) Craig Davis, WR, LSU. Overshadowed by Bowe but this guy is a player. Great vertical threat with a ton of potential and also did a good job returning punts senior year. Willing blocker and goes over the middle would be an ideal #3 receiver intially with the potential to be much more.

    2) Quentin Moses, DE/OLB, Georgia. Would be an absolute steal here. I have a feeling this is the kind of guy halfway through the season when he has 5 1/2 sacks people are going to be wondering why he fell this far. At 6'5, 260 he's a virtual clone of Willie McGinest and with the depth the team has in Bowens and Thomas could be a one dimensional player until he develops.

    3) Johnathon Wade, CB, Tennessee. I wish there was a way to address CB earlier but I don't see any matching up in value with our picks. The guy is incredibly fast and unbelievably athletic. Not exactly a willing tackler but in the 3rd round you're not going to find a perfect player. Has all the talent in the world and you'd have to imagine if he's going to get the right coaching anywhere it's in Green and White.

    5) Julius Wilson, OT, UAB. Great size (6'4 3/8, 327) and plays mean. Puppy kicking mean. Probably isn't an immediate starter but could project to be an above average right tackle or right guard.

    6) Louis Leonard, NT, Fresno St. Interesting nose prospect has the size (6'4 3/4, 322) and strength to play the position. Has some talent and at the least would be quality depth at the position which is what you hope for with 6th rounders. Has a good lineman name which is also important.

I wouldn't mind going Spencer in the 1st and Beekman in the 2nd instead of Blalock and Moses but I think this is the way to go.

I'm in the Second option with

    1. Anthony Spencer

    2. Best available corner like a Josh Wilson or a Tanard Jackson

    2. Best available offensive line prospect a Josh Beekman/ James Marten

    3. The big mother run stuffer Paul Soliai

We aren't drafting Blalock in the first round.

I don't want to draft someone who is described as "an ideal #3 reciever" with a second round pick

I'd absolutely be down with that draft, it'd be pretty fantastic.

Any way we go, I'd like to see G, OLB, CB, and WR all addressed on the first day. The only thing I can criticize is that I'm not sure that Craig Davis falls to us. If we are targeting Blalock and don't have any fear of the guys immediately behind us picking him, I'd like to see us trade down a few spots and recoup a 4th or maybe even another low-level third. Other than that, it's fantastic.

He's ideal in the sense that right now, he could step in and have an impact right behind Cotch and Coles. He has very good potential and only wasn't spectacular at college because Bowe was the #1 at LSU. He's very athletic and was very solid at LSU, however, and should develop at the very least into a solid #2. He compares at the next level to a guy like Reggie Wayne.

Thank you for the break down, Mobius. I'm the first to admit that I don't watch all that much college ball and get most of my info via the web, so when I see someone use a phrase like "an ideal #3 reciever" it just raised a red flag for me.

I'll have to look a bit more into this kid if he has the potential to be Reggie Wayne-esque

oh no craig davis, i know you got the point from mobius, but I'll second it. im big on either Blalock in the 1st rd or a WR/CB. hes a WR i would love to have come to us in the 2nd rd. definitely played in bowe's shadow but was also a clutch reciever for them.
