Any pre-draft trades involving players would probably have to happen no later then Wednesday to allow the receiving team to do their due dilligence on any existing contracts and for the league to approve it. Any speculations as to who around the league may get traded this week? I was thinking Randy Moss would but Oakland never got a QB and now I'm not sure.
G Justin Smiley of the 49ers, OLB Lance Briggs of the Bears, WR Randy Moss of the Raiders, RB Julius Jones of the Cowboys, WR Justin McCareins of the Jets, QB Trent Green of the Chiefs and WR Darrell Jackson of the Seahawks are the players probably most likely to move before the draft. Outside shots would include Jonathan Vilma, Assante Samuel, Michael Turner and Kris Jenkins.
http://www.sacbee.com/100/story/158989.html He saw the $40+ million contracts given out this year in the first year of the expanded cap and he's afraid the same money won't be there next season when teams come back to reality and a more contrained cap. The 49ers are trying to work out a deal with him now a year early and having no luck. He's 50/50 to go somewhere in a trade between now and TC.
Do you have links with FO people from Oakland and Green Bay talking about the actual trade? Because it occurs to me that almost every 'trade' of Randy Moss that has been a 'done deal' up until the actual trade to Oakland a few years ago has been a 'done deal' until it was shown to be complete horsepucky. Trade rumors for elite players right before the draft tend to be a load of nonsense most of the time, jeaux.
