Who is the Jets' best defensive player ? Do the Jets' have a defensive player that they can build around ? IMO....Kerry Rhodes is the Jets' best defensive player as of now. Only Rhodes, Byron Thomas, & D-Rob are untouchable. All the other defensive players are replaceable.......What do u think about that ? So....The Jets' need a centerpiece in there front 7 on defense & don't have one as of yet & will go that way in the 1st round maybe !!!
But I still think untouchable is a bit of a stretch. I'm not a D-Rob basher like some people, but untouchable is a pretty strong word. He is small for a NT in a 3-4 scheme.
Isn't it strange how quickly Bryan Thomas's stock has risen so quickly over the last year? wasn't that long ago he was regarded as a bust. D'rob and Vilma have huge futures with the Jets if we hang tough with them, all this trade talk about those two gets me nervous.
I disagree...D rob isn't as valuable as Vilma. Vilma is an athlete that we know has bona-fide football ability. D rob is an out of position defensive tackle who has flashes but is inconsistent. I dont understand the hating on Vilma, it was his first year in a new season, with a completely new role. He's young he'll grow.
