Based on what we did in FA, I think we will and should go offensive line first.

For some reason I think they're going to pick up a DE, call it a gut feeling, althouh I would be comfortable with many of the options in the poll. Everything but RB, actually, although I'd be nervous about any 'can't miss TE' as well. Even Olsen.

    Either Corner or D-Line.

OL - but corner could also be an option even though I don't think it's necessary.

I said DB only because the two OL, six DL & one TE we really want will all be gone. Only if we had a shot at one of these guys:

Joe Thomas OT 6-8, 305 Wisconsin
Levi Brown OT 6-5, 325 Penn State
Amobi Okoye DT 6-0, 287 Louisville
Alan Branch DT 6-6, 330 Michigan
Adam Carriker DE 6-5, 290 Nebraska
Jarvis Moss DE 6-5, 255 Florida
Gaines Adams DE 6-4, 265 Clemson
Jamaal Anderson DE 6-5, 280 Arkansas
Greg Olsen TE 6-5, 255 Miami

    Possible picks other than DB:
Ben Grubbs OG 6-3, 315 Auburn
Justin Blalock OG 6-3, 330 Texas
Paul Posluszny LB 6-1, 238 Penn State
Lawrence Timmons LB 6-3, 230 Florida State
Robert Meacham WR 6-2, 205 Tennessee
Dwayne Bowe WR 6-2, 220 LSU
Dwayne Jarrett WR 6-5, 210 Southern California

I've highlighted the picks that I think will still be available. I think its between Olsen and Blalock.

I think we'd like Carriker the most, Branch the second most and Revis the third most, but I think all will be gone. I think we'll be left to choose from Aaron Ross, Chris Houston, Jarvis Moss, Anthony Spencer, Justin Blalock and Ben Grubbs. Of that group, I think we will probably shy away from Ross and Houston because neither have enough of a body of work to warrant first round selection, we will shy away from Jarvis Moss because he has a poor motor, Anthony Spencer because it's too much of a reach and Ben Grubbs because he's not enough of a mauler.

In the end we will choose Justin Blalock because he is a safe pick, as first rounders should be, he is smart, he's a mauler and he offers us a bit fo flexibility (either OG or RT).

Out of those that you think will be there I would take Blalock.

Too the people saying Olsen, are you happy with that possibility or does it make your stomach turn like it does mine?

Our biggest need is OL, followed by DT. The line needs immediate upgrading. I feel the Mangini being smart understands that we need to build the line first, something daherm neglicted and opted for all glitz picks no glamour. If Manginis draft holds true this year we will have two more starters in RDs 1-2. Hopefully he learned from last year that you can't mess up in RDs 3-5 either. If we draft another FB or TE you will hear me scream all the way from Charlotte,NC to NY, I'll be pissed!!!!!!

DT is by far our biggest need, but it doesn't look like anyone will be available. So I'll say CB in round 1.

I agree, that is what Tannebaum has been preaching for all to hear. Have the lineup set before the draft and have the flexibility to move around or choose the BPA based on your board. By the way Gus, if Carriker is sitting there when we pick I'll kiss my TV. I would love the guy, but he will be long gone.....
