Thats called a good problem. A bad problem is if we depend on Pennington again and we are left without a quality NFl starter and another 4 win season and worst of all we still would need a QB of the future.

im a huge chad fan, and always supported him with his arm strenth, and even sticking by him with the injuries, i feel our best direction is to make a move for leinart.. look at the qb's in the division, brady, daunte, we need a franchise guy

    Don't assume

I almost choked on my Oatmeal reading this...

don't assume... all you do is make an A$$ of u and Me... no pun intended. Chad will not be ready to play opening day, nevermind start all 16 games and have good #'s. That is pure fantasy. I'd love it if it could happen... also, Shaub, he isn't going anywhere this year. NMike Vick is usually hurt 4 to 5 times a year and misses 4 games a season, and multiple pleays here and there through out the year, Shaub is the only compitent B/U in Atlanta... he isn't going anywhere...

Does it really matter what Shaub does? Abe won't hurt us because he'd be in the NFC and then we draft defense 1st round..it all will work out fine. Whether we get Shaub, Leinart, Young or whoever, we will have plenty of competition for the top spot. Main priority is defense. If the D isn't good, then the relatively old offense, young if we draft a QB will struggle.

I see nothing bad in that. Nothing at all.

If Chad comes back healthy and stays healthy, we could go to the playoffs. Did you guys forget how we win a lot more games when he plays? He never had a gun for an arm, that is not what made him good. If he regains form, he is a solid QB and a great leader. He controls the huddle and manages the game. I respect all of your opinions, but I am suprised more of you do not have some faith. I am all for drafting a QB, or getting younger FA to groom and mold, but I also see Chad as being our opening day starter, and were going to need him.

If we trade for Schaub, but Penny starts all 16 games (highly unlikely), Schaub is a RFA. We can tender him while we try to work out a 3 year, incentive laden deal (paid like a starter if he actually plays). This would be a really good deal for us. If the FO is comfortable with him starting, we can try to deal Chad to KC, as Trent Green is going to be like 52 in the 2007 season.

So many options if we get this done.
