Worst game: New York Jets at Baltimore Ravens. Two very good teams that play really boring football, particularly early in the season. One thing about this game is that it might set the record for the shortest amount of real-time play. The Jets and Ravens are both extraordinary at working the clock by running the ball and using high-percentage (see: short) passing games. Then again, when Chad Pennington is one of the quarterbacks, don't expect any awe-inspiring throws. Thats BS! link http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=jc-schedule041107&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
I can see why they would say that. It will probably be a low scoring game. Both teams will run a lot. They're right when they say that chad doesn't make many exciting throws. That game could easily be 3-3 in the 3rd quarter.
Defense baby.......Chad just might have some nice throws if Jones has an awe-inspiring running day. lol
Worst game? 2 good teams will not make for a bad game. Maybe the writer thought about when Bolly led the Jets into Baltimore. Now that was a BAD game.
While I don't agree that the Jets play very much boring football last season, what else did he say that was untrue?
Frankly, I love defensive struggles, the running game, and first-mistake-loses football, so the game sounds great just the way it is.
He said we were "extraordinary at working the clock by running the ball ". He must be confusing us with KC or SD.
Keep in mind it was the D's first season in the system. There hasn't been stability for offense or defense for the past few years becuase of coaching changes and different schemes. After a full season and adding some quality depth it should help out tremendously.
I thought with guys like brad smith and leon washington and justin on k.r. we played some exciting ball.
