Based on the roster as of today. Then trying to calculate the upgrades that are coming & finally based on the competition that the Jets' will face. The '07' Jets' will be an improved team, but because of the difficuty of sked', will not have as good a record as last seasons. There defense can only get better, but its' there offense that has to improve. Specifically the OL. If Jets' improve there OL, they can perhaps be 9-7. Thats the best they can be..... IMO. They probally will end up 8-8. 7-9 is also a possibility, cause they have a very tough sked'. Ideally 6-10 would be brutal, but it would allow the Jets' to draft higher & get better players. This tough sked' though toughens the team & gets them ready for there SB run in '08'. In '08'.....the Jets' willl be primed & ready . They will have had 3 drafts & all there systems would have been in place long enough to take root. Sometimes you have to take a step or 2 back, to go 2 - 4 steps forward. Anyway.....What do you predict Jets' '07' record will be ? You can make more than '1' choice ....
I totally disagree with your assessment. Its more important that the defense improves, in terms of stopping the run. The offense will get the ball more if our defense can stop the run and stay off the field.

9-7 sounds reasonable. We have a tougher schedule but we have upgraded some positions, plus we have fewer questions. And another year in the same system will help. The only real way I think we overacheive this year is if we take the division.
I see us finishing at 10-6 but not by the same route. We will beat the Giants and Eagles and lose at Buffalo and at Miami (Upset).......
7-9...........Here's the problem I see. If Miami manages to get a QB somewhere we could realistically start off 1-5. If that happens people will want Pennington's head and Mangini may go to Clemens figuring the season is lost anyway. If he does we may then start a drive for the first overall pick in the 08 draft. Probably won't be popular but I see this as a possibility.
9-7 if everything breaks right. Maybe a wild card berth into the POs. I don't see us taking any games from NE this year. They have brought in a considerable amount of talent for one last run. Here is how I see it breaking down: New England - L @Baltimore - L Miami - W @Buffalo - W @N.Y. Giants - W Philadelphia - L @Cincinnati - L Buffalo - W Washington - W Pittsburgh - L @Dallas - L @Miami - W Cleveland - W @New England - L @Tennessee - W Kansas City - W

i decline to vote at this point...we cant tell anything until we draft and go thru TC....not to mention you didnt add 13-3 on there or the higher or lower option....and you can vote for more then one record... not to be anal retentive or anything
