The NFL needs to do something about the franchise tag. guys are realizing that the hold-out for a trade strategy usually works, and now they're all doing it. Maybe the franchise tag should be for 2 years, rather than 1? I can still see guys complaining about it, but maybe to a lesser extent, and maybe clubs will be more reluctant to pay that high of a salary 2 years in a row, thus less tags are issued. All that said, hopefully we can trade a 2nd and 3rd for him....

Why wouldnt they trade him within the division? They traded Bledsoe to the bills for a #1 pick. If the jets give the best offer then he goes to the jets.
They'll trade him to whichever team gives them the best offer. But it will take a lot to get him, and I don't want to be the team to give it up.
Only if the jets give the absolute best offer. Like there is a noticeable difference between the jets offer and another teams offer. That's the only way. With what you said about bledsoe true but, they already had brady and didn't have need for bledsoe.
Yes, but a QB can hurt you more than a CB. If they didnt franchise him, he would have been long gone. At the very least they are getting a #1 for him if they trade him.

umm if the Jets had the best offer i still think they would trade to the Jets even though they in the same division. The only thing is the Jets would have to give up a lot for him.
