So, I'm like some on this board. Throw in a late pick (4th rd) with Abe and they will bite I believe. But to offer Abe straight up for Schaub and a 2nd rounder or there 1st rd pick won't get it. BTW- Why would we offer Abe and one of our pick for Ramsey, yet ask the Falcons for Schaub and their 2nd. Finally, there are a lot of teams willing to give us a 1st and 2nd rd pick (aka Denver/Seatlle), BUT the problem is they don't have the money/cap space to sign Abe to money he's asking for. A lot of people on this board keeps forgetting that the trade has to be approved by ABE. He has to get the money he wants. IT NOT JUST A ONE WAY STREET, FOLKS
Don't think that's right. Pretty sure Jets can trade Abraham's rights without his permission. New club assumes the franchise cost one year contract of $8.3. New club would never do that because they would fear a holdout and get nothing for their trade but that trade, I think, can happen.
I don't know where you are getting your source of information from, but nowhere have there been any statements, articles, rumors or otherwise that the Jets were giving away Abe AND draft picks for Ramsey. Not going to happen!
They can without his permission. That's right. HOWEVER, if Abe doesn't sign the other team's new deal then it all mute! No team will make the trade unless Abe agree to the new contract deal.
...remember Adam Schaffer with NFL network mentioned it yesterday. He'd mentioned that the only holdup between Washington and NY was Ramsey and another pick. As a matter of fact, it was all over this site yesterday.
