moore b/c he sucks in run blocking. also, kendall's to valuable especially if they bring in another youngin
Kendall is a pretty good guard who provides not only good play but excellent leadership. Moore is definitly the weaker link
Kendall is a good Guard. You have to remember that he was a BIG reason for Mangold's success year 1... Kendall was also playing beside two rookies last season. Moore shouldn't be starter judging from his performance last season. I can see Kendall playing LG for us for another year after this season.
Moore. He overachieved in 2004, and has been poor the last two seasons. Kendall's not the same player he was two years ago, either, but for what he provides as a veteran and teacher, it's fine to have him around for another year. I don't think we can go into the season with both of them on the line, specifically Moore.
With Brick struggling last season, keep Kendal there to maintain the chem. One less thing for Brick to worry about.
Is this a joke? I think you could make an argument that Kendall is the most important player on our o-line right now. For the future D'brick and Mangold will be the most important but RIGHT NOW he's still a solid guard, provides excellent leadership for the young players next to him and also can fill in at center if need be. Moore is the worst player on our o-line.
Shouldn't the question here be Moore or Clement? Even that isn't much of a discussion, though. Moore really needs to be replaced.
I think the problem isn't that either of them is bad, it's that they're the same player.. small-ish guards that have to make a living with athleticism and pass-blocking. We need one of our guards to be a road-grader, and if I had to pick one guy to go, it's Moore.
weird, I think Kendall. Ya, Kendall is good. But Kendall is old. I'd rather ththe weka link be a young but improving weak link who is playing above his contract than an old declining weak link who gets paid a lot.I'd love to come out of this draft with a definite heir apparent to Kendall. Or, for that matter Clement. As long as we find someone to eventually take over for one of those two geezers, then I'm happy with the state of our o-line.
Moore did okay in the second half, but he is still a weaker guard that Kendall. There's the guy who tried to kill the Bubble Boy! Get him!
i really dont get the moore hate on here....even the penguin had nice things to say about him several different weeks during the season. if we had a better RT i think we would see a lot less moore hate....id rather replace clement than moore.
I don't hate him. The question was which G do we replace first. Moore is an adequate starter and a good back up. In '05 he was the only lineman to play every game when all around him were getting beaten up , so hes durable and tough. I'd still want him around , even if hes not the best.
