Remember the 2002 Giants-49ers game? Where San Fran made that unbelievable comeback? I remember specifically Dan Campbell on the bench, disgusted on how his team gave up such a huge lead, kick his helmet and nearly hit a black guy in street clothes(i'm assuming an injured Giant)...They show it on replay and the black guy stares down Campbell and it just looked as if Campbell just shit his pants:rofl:
C'mon, man, you do this every single year in FA. Just relax. Woody does not have tight pockets. And you don't even know if the Jets made him an offer. Free Agency is a very tricky thing. This is not a good year for the Jets to be signing a lot of free agents. The best thing is to let the guys that have been drafted in recent years get some playing time, and then when the Jets are in a position to mke a strong push, they will have the cap space to get the guys they need to make that push.
BEFORE!..................................AFTER! Don't you know anything?! Holy Cr*p, that's a train wreck if I ever saw one! Glen Campbell, the Country & Western singer,..I...what? Oh. DAN Campbell. Sorry.
Tell me exactly how these players turned down contracts and jilted the Jets. Tell me with details, since you seem to think you know a lot about what went on behind closed doors. Then you will get a debatable response. But if you base your entire topic on speculation, I will not take you seriously and consider this thread board clutter.
Meetings are set up so that both parties mutually agree to the circumstances. Just because we invite a guy in doesn't mean that we necessarily want them. We can meet with the player and decide we don't want him, even if he wants to come here. Targeting players and meeting with players are two COMPLETELY different things.
We told his damn agent that he'd possibly start on our team!!!! Thats enough to believe that we were interested. Also, i could care less what you think of my threads or opinions, abyzmul. Your quick to jump on everyone elses posts while not providing nearly enough details for ME to take what you have to say seriously. At this point, you appear to be nothing more than an arrogant, and angry old man.
Wow are you right on regarding the reaction if he would have signed. All you would have heard all night is how SOLID the guy is. I absolutely agree with what you just said in the second part. I am not upset we didn't get Campbel, although, I will admit, it would be nice to have a blocking TE for certain situations. I don't think him going to Detroit has anything to do with us though. They probably just made him a decent offer-- we can't take this one personally.
Come on man-- while he may not have been number 1 on our wishlist, the Jets wouldn;t have brought him in for a visit if they didn't have interest in signing him. Why would they waste time bringing in a guy to visit? I could see them doing it as a bargaining chip if we realy had our eye on another TE, but I have not heard of anyone else on the Jets Radar.
Pack it up, pack it in, let me begin, i came to win battle me thats a sin.... Oh wait this is about football....
Good, I couldn't care less what you think of me either, although I think it's funny that you are under the impression that I'm old. Unless you consider 31 to be up there in years. You are whining with this thread. That's the long an short of it. But I'm sure you don't care, and will continue to whine. That's fine, it's your right, just like it's my right to call you on it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Youve always got something weird to say but most of the time its quite funny. This post is just another example of that
You like it huh.... I just edited it because i changed my mind on posting it but since you quoted me... Im glad you found it funny, it was the intent. And also you do not want to battle abyzmul. It would be like USA air force vs the north korean air force if they have one.
Whatever. If he signed, all we would've heard all night is how you like to have tea with your cabbage patch dolls, and prance around the basement in your mom's dress.
