... LB Coach at Chargers, should this FO try to poach him?

Would Sutton perform better this year?

    What do you guys think?

Initially I thought maybe it would be a nice try to make a run at him, but then on a second thought I realized he wasn't 3-4 coach (or it didn't look that way to me) so I was wondering how others thought on this issue.

Only way he could be taken is if he was hired as Head Coach.

He was a free agent. If we wanted him, we could have hired him then.

we had the number one scoring defense in the NFL for the second half of the season last year...plus if we need to upgrade anything on our defense, it isnt the coordinator...its the players

Sutton received too much blame for the early struggles of the D. It had been stated many times that the players were still adjusting to the scheme; after the bye week Sutton and Mangini sat down and came up with some major adjustments which led to a large improvement. With more players that fit the scheme, one could assume that we will see improvement.

Nothing wrong with Sutton or the coaches on that side of the ball IMO. Plus, what does Rivera know about the 3-4?

Sutton probably stays, he's not a bad coach by any means.

I would have loved Singletary because of the passion and knowledge of the 3-4 he brings, but those days are gone. He's a head coach to be.

funny how sutton gets ripped when our defense is bad and yet is given very little credit when our defense plays well...

Ron Rivera is a LB coach with the Chargers because he knows nothing about the 3-4 defense.
    No Thanks.
