I'm just trying to imagine the over-the-top ballistic-ness of the posts if the Pats threw all their draft picks plus a pick or two next year together into a package for Calvin Johnson? I hope it happens just to hear everybody have a strong opinion for once.
That would be pretty hilarious. This message board would turn into a mosh pit of panic and whining. Honestly if they did that, it might not be such a bad move for NE. Most teams NEED all of their picks to continue to develop... if anyone is in a position to unload the boat to pickup a perennial star... it's NE, as they have very few weaknesses that they can't cover.
haha, you gotta love the GPC. Although that might have been the worst thing for the Jets with the way they have improved there team already. Still worth it though.
it seems unlikely in light of thier pursuit of Welker. They still have 2 1st rders and some nice trade bait in Samuel though
LOL thanks now, I can picture him with the half ripped t-shirt like hulk hogan................. " What are you going to do when CJ runs wild on you?"........... then he rips it off and goes past Dyson for a touchdown............. dare to dream man. Then he flexs his 24" pythons. This trade would be pretty funny. The Patriots trade and sign away two firsts and a second for CJ and the Welker. It will never happen.
Well........ its possible, if they send both of their first rounders this year plus another pick........ That's not a bellicheckeeyan way though.......
It wouldn't be so bad, really, other than if they draft CP I'll head out the door to pick up some duct tape so I can seal off all the doors and windows in my garage before I start my engine.
The trade makes sense for both teams 2 firsts this year and maybe a third this year or a second next year.Detroit needs all the picks it can get and i got a feeling Millen would find it very hard to pass Calvin Johnson, to just pick Joe Thomas.NE can do it because they really only need help in the secondary and thats basically it, adding CJ would be pretty sick and would make me sick at the same time.So hopefully it dosnt happen.
Actually based on the commonly accepted draft value chart it would take the entire draft plus some picks next season to move up from the 24 and 28 to the 2. And the picks next year would have to be high also.
The pats two first rounders combined are good for the 8th pick. I believe they have a few extra mid rounders from when Adam walked on top of there regular picks.
Yep, the chart drops dramatically from the top 3 picks to everything else. The 8 pick is worth just a bit more than half of the 2 pick.
