    The New England Patriots select:

    Fred Bennett, CB, South Carolina

Bennett joins his former teamate Sidney Rice as the second South Carolina player to go to the Patriots. I definitely had a hard time choosing between a CB and an ILB, but I realized that Bennett was really the last player in that 3rd tier of CB's, and after that the rest of the CB's are basically garbage. There are still 4 or 5 ILB I can think of off the top of my head that I would like, and are projected anywhere bwteen the 3rd - 5th round, so as long as 1 of them falls to me in the 4th, I am happy. Bennett is a kid with tons of potential and all the right intangibles, but never really produced in college. I think under the Patriots tuteledge and getting some experience in the NFL as a nickel or dime corner, he will be able to compete with Ellis Hobbs for the starting CB in a year or two. He is a workout warrior who could potentially move up into the 2nd round after the combine, so I think he is a great pick here for the Patsies.

With the 93rd Pick, The Ravens select:

RB Tony Hunt from Penn St.

The Ravens FO is absolutly thrilled with this pick. This selection makes the HB Blades selection worthwhile. Hunt is a 2nd round talent that was picked up late in the third and will be the front runner for the RB position.

With this pick the Ravens have certinly shored up some the major problems with VERY good talent (Grubbs, Blades, Hunt).

    Josh Gattis, S, Wake Forest

Has good size, speed and intelligence and is very agressive. Good value for a team looking to add a safety.

    1. Robert Meachem, WR
    2. Brian Leonard, FB
    3. Josh Gattis, S

Rex Grossman does the dumbest things when he's under pressure.

So the Bears continue their draft strategy of protecting him (and taking white guys) by picking this young man. . .

    Marshal Yanda, OG, Iowa

With their selection in the NFL draft, the Indianapolis Colts select

DT Marcus Thomas out of the University of Florida

Although he has a history of off the field problems, you can't deny this kid's potential and skill, and with a INjury Prone Corey Simon, and Anthony "Human turnstyle" Mcfarland, they could use a big run stopper.

    Colts

    1) Jon Beason
    3) Marcus Thomas

The Raiders select, Doug Free, OT(OG), NIU
    [IMG]

The guy is in the process of putting on weight, already at 324.
He could be moved to OG, and since the raiders are in the middle of shifting their entire line around, this is a plus for them.

I select CB David Irons, Auburn

He's a little undersized, but showed off his natural speed with a 4.44 40 and plays much bigger then he actually is. He's solid and still raw, and has the potential to be a star.

Oh yea, and the last time the Bucs drafted a CB with a brother that was a HB that was drafted in the same draft, he wound up being pretty damn good.

The Cleveland Browns passed on Adrian Peterson in the first round.

They get a great value here with Chris Henry, RB, Arizona.

With their selection in the NFL draft, The 49ers select, Georgia Tech Offensive Guard/Offensive Tackle

    Mansfield Wrotto

With the signing of Nate Clements, the 49ers can now address other positions in the draft, with a mediocre offensive line that includes the Ancient Fossil Larry Allen, filling that spot on the line can help open holes for Frank Gore in the future.

With their 4th selection in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select

    James Marten, OT Boston College

Great steal for Arizona here, IMO. He adresses a major need and hopefully can step in as soon as possible.

In the forth round, The Vikings select: Tim Duckworth, OG (Auburn)

was overshadowed by another auburn OL, Ben Grubbs, one of the best to come out this year. Should really help develop this OL.

In the forth round, the Texans select: Jay Alford, DT (Penn St)

should step in and be an immediate front runner for the DT job for houston since they are absolutly awful in that category.
