ill take if he is can come back to the form he was in 05....thats a damn good slot receiver...definetely can be an upgrade at the right price
What's funny is that he was with Peyton at the Tennessee MBB game vs Florida on Tuesday. I bet Peyton asked them to wait until yesterday to tell him so that there weren't any awkward silences. And I would give him a look, but he's probably going to go somewhere that he thinks he can be a #2 (and get paid 2 money).
na...not wit chad as QB....i'm sorry but he's good if u have a strong arm QB.....i dont see him goin over the middle or jumping up to get chads floatties....not to knock chad (cuz thats my man's). But i'll pass on Stokley
I think he would be a good 3rd WR.... but he is probably going to get a bigger contract than we want to give him.
Brandon Stokley would be a good pick-up. The Colts have released him, and if this is not an issue related to his injury from last season and a possible in ability to return, but instead was just a roster move, then I think he'd be a good addition at #3 or 4 WR for us. He can stretch the field and doesn't have the suspect hands that alot of 3rd and 4th WRs have. He played inside receiver very well for them. We should have a look. I don't think Tim Dwight was ever really in the plans other than on specials, so I think there's room for Stokley in there especially with the expectation that Justin will be gone. I'd much rather have a healthy Stokley than a healthy J-Mac.
I would prefer a younger WR. Actually B Smith. As much as Stokely is a good WR I would prefer to keep the building programme going and not proping it up.
Doesnt that drive you crazy to say? Im busting you but on a serious note..is there a QB playing in the NFL that teams would have to judge whether a receiver would fit in their plans because a QB cant register on the speed gun? I would never try to make this a Chad thing..but are we really deciding what receiver should be sought out based on arm strength? If thats the case, perhaps we should try to go after 4 tight ends.
To be completely honest, Brandon is one of the best if not THE best slot receivers in the NFL, and a good slot receiver is what we need. I would be happy with us signing Brandon, but if we don't, it's not the end of the world. But when you guys say he has Peyton Inflated numbers, I can't help to agree but to with you, when you have a guy like that throwing you the ball not having inflated stats means you flat out suck. I think we can adress slot receiver in the draft, whether it's Robert Meachem, Dave Ball, Paul Williams, Johnnie Lee Higgins, Craig Davis, etc.
