well said and I agree. 17 Tds and 16 INTS. He beat one team with a winning record and that was quickly avenged! He was SHUTOUT twice! How many trips to the red zone proved fruitless? How did he hamper our offense? Teams do not fear his arm and play to stop the run. When he can not throw an out pass, we are dead in the water!

Vince Young = the NFLs new Mike Vick. Get ready to watch him become the most overrated player in the NFL.

Ah who cares, the Pro Bowl blows anyway.

No Brady is hilarious, but two guys who are majorly underrated might be Carr and Losman. Losman was one of the best QBs in the league this year...

    Chad's not that good.
Vince Young is fun to watch--his games against the giants & colts were inspired.

Losman, counting fumbles for both, had 2 more TDs, one more turnover, 301 less yards on 56 less attempts. Pennington's Completion Percentage was 2% better, and surprisingly, 2 more completions that netted 20+ yards.

Losman was also pummeled all season for 47 sacks, compared to 30 for Pennington.

Like I've said, it's a toss up, and one that shouldn't have even come up. Neither deserves it, and Vince Young sure as hell doesn't either.
    Blame Tom Brady.

Penny didn't deserve it this year. He was not as good as he's been in the past.

wanna disagree with johnnysd, but to be honest, he isn't that great, if he wasnt a jet, we all know good and got damn well he would either be a free agent, a sorry starter, or a guy we all make fun of, and you all know it, he is good for now, yes, but he will NOT win us a SB

What's getting funny is how some people say that Chad's not that good. How many games do you think we would've won without Chad. I say maybe 2 or 3. He might not be the best but Young is not all that. There's no way that Young should even be mention as a pro bowl QB. He will turn out just like Vick or even worse. This is why I dont even watch the Pro Bowl. How can a QB with a 66.7 QB rating make the Pro Bowl. ITS A JOKE!! He's the 30th rank QB...even Harrington had a better rating!

This is true. I can't imagine there's too many teams out there saying "damn, I wish we had a QB like Chad Pennington"..

A guy thats better known for his good reads and decision making threw what, 17 picks this year? Not the worst but far from the best. Chad may be moving into that "hold the fort" roll like Kimo Van Oldhuffin. I guess we'll just have to wait and see next year.

The Pro Bowl is a popularity contest. Thats why guys like Tony Romo and Vince Young are in and guys like Kerry Rhodes are not in.

Sounds like you should be a Titans fan. Stop with this Chad's not good stuff. Young is fun to watch only becasue he runs well. He's not a better QB than Chad and never will. Next year teams will start containing him just like they do to Vick.

This is insane.....how does someone saying Chad isnt good make him a Titans fan. Maybe he is a realastic Jets fan. People People....Chad didnt have a good year!!! Considering what he went through fine, ok...he played well. Compare him to the other QB's around the league, he was average

Just busting some chops...I would like to know why everyone thinks he didn't have a good year...I know his INTs were way up but besides that give me some good reasons and no of this stuff about arm strength. Even with those INTs he still had a decent QB rating and won 10 games for us. Everyone blames him when we lose but nobody gives him credit when we win. Only 5 teams won more games then the JETS did.

INTS Way up....you said it yourself. His INT against the Bears lost us that game.....16 INt's is terrible. 17 TD passes isnt good....average at best

I agree about the INTs. So your saying that is the only reason why he didn't have a good year. And you made my point...he gets blamed when we lose but nobody gives him credit for the Ws. So the 13 TDs he threw in our 10 wins means that he won those games for us!

And I agree with that. That's what happens in the NFL, you win cuz of the QB and lose cuz of the QB. 10-6, against bad teams.....everyone know his record against the "good" teams. Damn...you guys are making me a Chad hater....I love Chad...dont make me bash him.

Not trying to make anyone a Chad hater because there are plenty here. If he was given any kind of a running game I think things would've been different. I just hate that everyone puts him down.

It's his ignorant throws. Like against the Bears. Or that wonderful performance against the Browns. There are plenty of individual passes that have nearly gotten WRs killed, especially the Christmas game, and other throws that make you just scratch your head and say WTF are you thinking, Chad?
