    Thanks Champ, didn't know that.

I just noticed the article in the Star-Ledger. I get the paper delivered every morning. It was under "Sport Shorts."

I often read the actual newspaper every morning... at least I did when things were hot and heavy going into the playoffs. Jets news has been sparse lately though, to say the least.

But after reading the paper, I then visit the board, and if the article in which I have an interest hasn't been posted to the board, I sometimes make a thread of it.

To be fair, this has been on the Jets Newswire forum all day, which is the purpose of that forum, I'd have thought?

Excellent point, which speaks to the fact that virtually everyone ignores that forum and goes directly to this one.

Thanks for the links. It's bogus that there are no repercussions for their acts. They should have to fork over a 5th rounder or something to us. It was clear at the time they were only doing this to spite us, let them pay up. If there are no penalties for bogus accusations then the week of next years match up we should start floating some Wilfork is doing steroids allegations....

Yes we should now file counter charges against them for false accusations. Keep Goodall busy I say!

I'd rather just go ahead and kick their asses real good next year.... eliminate them from any playoff possibility whatsoever. Payback is a bitch.

The article states: "It started late in the preseason, when the Patriots - in a contract stalemate with the wide receiver - gave Branch permission to work out a trade. The Jets offered the Patriots a second-round pick for the former Super Bowl MVP and negotiated the parameters of a contract with his agent.
The Patriots claimed the Jets poisoned the process by telling Branch's agent the draft-pick compensation they had proposed to New England. Branch wound up being dealt to the Seahawks for a first-round pick."

The stupid bastards probably had no grounds because they received a higher pick for Branch than we offered. In effect, there was no injury to them, at least none that we caused, because the Patriots in fact made out better than our offer. No foul, no penalty.

Belichick is such a whining crybaby.

I would say that the Jets take the high road, Mehlichick is already being broiled by former players in the media now, the GPC is officially underway.
