favorable as can be! Best JETS QB since JOE WILLIE as far as advancing us close to a SB appearance. Who else has done it?
How can you not have a favorable opinion of Vinny? He came out of nowhere to lead the Jets to their best season in nearly 30 years in 1998 and he did it as a gunslinger not a game manager.
I voted for favorable, but like HackettStillSux said, I don't have the man-love for Vinny that some people may have.
This is a tough one for me, he did have an outstanding season in 98, but was also INT prone. When Chad came in to replace him after Vinny was injured in the Jags game a few years back, I was estatic.
Now that CHAD has shown his ability to throw silly INTS, are you pulling for KELLEN to replace him? Has CHAD ever had as good of a season as VINNY? How hard can the question be for you? The answer is very obvious! LOL
Has to be favorable. Led us to the single greatest season we've had in a while. It was difficult to watch his last few years, and the impatience we had with wanting to see Pennington play more, but overall, favorable.
He was only a NYJ a few years & to bad he did not get the shot in 99 to show his stuff. It appears that that injury affected his play from the 00 season foward
I voted favorable. We got him for nothing and he gave us the greatest year most oif us have ever seen, 12-1 as a starter. Even the 1982 AFC Championship game team was in a strike shortened season. The last month of the season, winning at Miami on SNF, then at Buffalo on the Saturday to wrap up the division, what an impressive run. His later years were good but you kind of knew 1998 was all by itself.
I voted favorable too. This was one of the easier ones to vote on. I am surprised Vinnie is near 70% positive when Richard Todd is only near 50%...It is interesting how/why people vote. I wonder what our average age is on here... We could do a poll on that. Because some of the comments are from people looking at stats only on the older players but they look at "everything" on the more modern day players. I do agree though...these polls are interesting to read.
