    Just got through watching Meet the Fockers and I think that Eric Mangini thinks that the Nick Mangold is the fruit of his loins.

    Whoever rated this thread 3 stars is kidding themselves.

    I sure hope whatever food Mangini and Mangold are eating together, that its passed onto D'Brick

    He didn't mean it to be news, he meant it to be insulting and anti-Jets, as usual. Wait, let me re-phrase that... he meant it to inflammatory to Jets fans. As usual.

    Hogwash. I am a bigger and longer suffering Jet fan than you are.. Went to the PoloGrounds when they were the Titans. I want the Jets to win a Super Bowl and think Mangini was a blunder of the first order. Any Jet fan who disgrees with your drinking Green Kool Aid from a garden hose seems to be your definition of who is and who is not a loyal Jet fan.

    Tannenbaum will be known in Jet history as the man who passed on Matt Leinart. Mangini will be known as the man who couldn't match Herman Edwards record after five years as HC of the NYJ.

    Lets see the Emporer (is wearing no clothes) Penquin match Edwards second years as a HC... Anything less than an AFC East championship title and a first round playoff win is completly unaccetable. It means he couldn't match Hapless Herm's record.

    Get on the record, what is your minimal standard for Mangini's second year as HC?

    what the fuck are you smokin? mangini has shown hes a better HC in 1 year than herm is. HE cant even get time management down, and hes been a HC for how many years? just because you saw the titans play at the polo grounds doesnt make you smart jets fan, it makes you an old jets fan. i thought wisdom came with age....next youre gonna say pete carrol is as bad a HC as richie kotite...

    Yeah, I guess we'll see how that turns out. I hope you aren't banned by the time we can call your prediction a joke, which it is. I think he already is known on ALL sports media outlets as the man "who solidified the Jets o=line for the next ten years", and this after just one draft.

    Well 10-6 is a good start for a first year coach, I'll be willing to put up his numbers against Herms. (Herms is 48-48)

    You pick the Herms absolute best year as a coach, second year or career. You really make yourself seem quite stupid when making such a challenge. It's like saying the Jets are one of the 5 only teams to be undefeated in the Superbowl.

    So genius, Herms final record 48-48 (9-7, 10-6, 9-7, 6-10, 10-6, 4-12).

    Does anyone think that Mangini will have an above .500 record? What? Everyone does? You mean he can do better than a coach who will go for a field goal on 3rd down in a playoff game?

    Herm only made the playoffs resoundingly once! Once! HE backed in and dependwed on other teams to make it their. Just like he did with KC this year. In Mangini's first year, he didn't depend on other teams. He TOOK the playoff berth.

    So we already came to the conclusion that this "second year" crap is gay. SO what we are going to do is this. As long as KC doesn't fire Herm we will compare the two's records. And please keep in mind that the Jets don't have the running back an d talent that KC does.

    Year 1:
    Herm = 9-7
    Mangini = 10-6

    I wonder if Herm will even get to 8-8. If you are so smart (and I hear you like to post and run like a puss), then I will wager you this: If the Jets have the better record, you volunteer yourself for banning. If KC has the better record, then I will volunteer.

    Gonna put your money where your mouth is? Or are you gonna keep acting like a worthless troll?

    I got all my money riding on the latter.

    BTW can't you see that rajenson has quietly become one of the funniest most enjoyable posters on this board. You can not debate comedians such as him with facts. Sit back an enjoy the ride....er trainwreck.

    You see, you can say on an anonymous message board that you bleed green until the cows come home, that you live and die with the Jets every minute of your life since the days of the Polo Grounds and the old blue Titans - and that makes you a bigger fan than anybody here.

    Well, I'm sorry to say it doesn't quite work that way, my friend. Actions speak louder than words.

    The facts are quite simply that you only show up here when A) the Jets lose or B) it is the offseason when you can go back to screaming about horrible draft decisions and lousy free agent signings and how the Jets are going to be terrible with a tough schedule in 2007.

    You were MIA, AWOL, gone, nowhere to be found in the month of December when our Jets went 4-1 and clinched a playoff berth (the same month btw when your buddy Herm went 2-3). You were gone when the Jets stomped on Minnesota rebounding off of that Buffalo loss, you were gone when the Jets grinded out that win in Miami and completed a sweep of the fins, and you were gone the Jets beat the Raiders and clinched a wild card berth - all the while we were right here week by week, win or loss celebrating the success of this team.

    Now you only return after the playoff loss in New England and posting quite frequently about how much the Jets suck and Mangini sucks, and Tannenbaum sucks and D'Brick is horrible and we passed on Lienart and how much this team would benefit if Herm would come back.

    But guess what? Herm's gone because HE DIDN'T WANT TO COACH THIS TEAM. He ran out of here like it was a leper colony and Kansas City was the promise land. He is not coming back.

    So this is what you should do. Do as Mike Francesa does, which is root for whatever team your favorite coach is presently with. For Mike and his undying love for Bill Parcells, he was a Cowboy fan for the last four years. For you, it can be the Chiefs!

    I think it would work well for everyone. You can continue to hate Mangini and offer low opinions of the Jets and then go ahead and root for your favorite coach!

    But one thing you will stop doing is telling us how much of a better fan of this team you are because you supposedly saw a few games at the Polo Grounds. Sorry, your actions don't really support that all too well.
