I am all in on picking a QB in 2027. I want no serious draft capital wasted on a QB prospect this year. This draft should be all about setting up the 2027 roster to be the best possible stage for a rookie QB to succeed.

I'm okay with picking a QB in the 3rd or 4th round to push Geno this year and the Rookie next year and to become a possible long term backup. Nothing higher than that. If we can keep Geno to compete with and sometimes spell the '27 QB, all the better.

I just want to see the Jets win at least 8 games. I said it in a different thread recently, but you know it's bad when mediocrity is the Jets middle name and I'm rooting for mediocrity. Mediocrity is a step up when you're in the basement, unfortunately. PAIN.

Anyway, we'll see if Mr. Slackjaw has more football intelligence than The Chimp, but I posit definitely not more than Sam Darnold. I never followed Geno Smith much after he punched his way out of here. OK, he didn't punch his way out of here, but I couldn't help myself.

The Jets have 3 first round picks next season. They have the flexibility to move up if they fall in love with a QB. They need to start winning games.
