    What about finger length?

Where he ultimately gets drafted will be a screaming endorsement of how important arm length is. If he goes top 5 then teams are looking past it, top 10 and they are taking notice but think his other traits will overcome. Picked outside the top 10? Well clearly the people that are paid millions of dollars to do player evaluations put a ton of stock in arm length.

Regarding Bain, I’m reminded of jimmy johnson who was pretty good at drafting.

his adage was the same guys who made plays in HS, then made plays in college, will make plays in the pros. It’s a useful way to remember that football knowledge and instincts are not measured at combine (excepting wonderlic for QBs which was suspect anyway)

should we be more scared of arm length or drafting the next Vernon or Maybin. Seems to be a bit crazy using. Number 2 on someone who frequently I characterized as a project

this might be a case where the smart money is convincing the dumb money (teams) to go short Bain (pun intended) and long Reese while they do the exact opposite.

Do people think Bain would project well as a 3-4 OLB? From what I've read he's more a 4-3 DE

He would be a 3-4 DE where Reese would be a OLB, they wouldn't play the same position. Reese would be a Joker role, OLB standing up while Bain projects better inside. Or I could just be talking out of my ass because I have no idea, one or the other :p

I know it's fun to mock arm length, but Will Campbell had legit concerns with it. If he doesn't get over it this year, he's moving to guard. And this was a guy that everyone said the arm length wouldn't matter because he's that good.

You can't just dismiss it. Now if the guy was dominant in College but the arm is below threshold doesn't mean he would go undrafted. But it does increase risk a bit, so instead of top 5 he may go top 10 or so.

    Well done, sir....well done! :D

I'm not one for bookmarking a single thread but this one I might. If I'm correct, a couple years from now, I'll come find this and we'll touch base on how ole' Bain is doing. Personally, if the Jets pass, he'll end up being another in a VERY LONG LINE of players this organization stupidly passed on. Then again, I could be completely off base and he sucks in the NFL. You know what, I don't think I'm wrong in this case.

He is going to be a top 10 pick, I don't think anyone is saying that he will suck. Just that Reese might be better.

Speaking of what's funny do you have a review of the new SNL UK debut? Saw a couple of reviews that were both mixed that seem to indicate it needs to grow into itself. At least they're permitted to use proper language - "fuckers!"
